Kaydence-Grace`s birthstory

I started having contractions at 8:30 in the morning and went to the hospital around 9:30. Luckily, my sister in law was in town and was able to drive me to the hopsital. My mom met me at the hospital shortly after arriving and my husband ended up calling me shortly after my arrival as well. The doctor and nurse went over my birth plan with me and unfortunately we were unable to video tape the birth so my husband could watch it. I ended up being in labor until 3pm with no change in my cervic. Earlier in the week I found out that I had a cryo-cervic, which is a tiny scar or scar tissue that occurs when cancer cells have been frozen off your cervic. Anyways, the scar tissue was preventing me from dialating. Finally, the doctor came in and broke through the scar tissue and I immediately went to 3 cenitmeters. I got an injection of staytol and then walked around for about an hour and went to 6 centimeters. The doctor then came in and asked if I wanted my water broken and things took off from there. I ended up having another injection of staytol, but I did not receive an epidural. The hardest part of the delivery was the period in which I was dialating from 9 to 10 centimeters. I kind of turned into Satan for about 45 minutes, but it was all worth it once I got to hold her. I must say though, get the epidural! I`m sure it makes the birth more enjoyable.
