Logan’s Birth Story
On July 9,2008 Wednesday morning at 4:25 am I was sleeping and felt something wet come out so I jumped out the bed, ran into the bathroom and was like omg I just peed myself and didn`t even know I had to go. So I cleaned myself up and changed my underwear and went to lie back down. An hour later at 5:30am it happened again, only I was awake cause it was taking awhile for me to fall back asleep, I couldn`t get comfortbable. So I get up go back to the bathroom wondering why do i keep peeing on myself? Well while I was sitting there cleaning up a lil gush came out and that`s when it sank in OMG MY WATER IS BREAKING. So I came out the bathroom, turn on the computer and start googling and reasearching to make sure that`s what happened, cause my water never broke with Kaelin, they had to do it for me. So after researching, it said labor could follow immediately or several hours later. Well, it`s 6:30am now and the dr`s office isn`t open for me to call so I decided to go back to bed. I woke up at 9:16am when Lee called to see how I was doing. I called around asking various friends and family members did they think it was my water/ Barbara said yes it was and to call the dr immediately and they could run a test to find out. She was like `what do you have to lose? call the damn dr Tracy` So I did and they told me to come in at 1:30pm and they could do a swab test. If it was amnitoic fluid they were gonna send me to the hospital. So I take a shower and go. I went by myself cause I thought for sure I was coming back home. I went with nothing but the clothes on my back and my purse. Boy was I wrong. So, yes my water did break and they decided to do an internal exam to see what was going on. OMG I was 6cm and 90% effaced, and the baby`s head was right there. She told me don`t push or pass gas because he will come out. I felt NOTHING. I mean, no pain, contractions, discomfort, NOTHING. The dr could not believe it. So she said she was gonna call me an ambulance to take me to the hospital but I talked her out of it and said I would drive myself. She was a little hesitant to let me go but told me ok but I had to straight there. So I did and I checked myself in around 3pm with a smile on my face. They put me on pitocin. I only felt the contractions for about an hour. I finally asked for epidural once I reached 9cm. My sister told me I probably could`ve went all the way without it. The contractions were bearable I was able to just breath through them. At 7:05pm it was time to push. I pushed 3 times and they told me to stop because he was sliding out on his own. and at 7:24pm Logan came into the world. I didn`t rip or tear. And later that nite I was up and walking around. Nobody could believe how quick it was and how I had no pain. I think it was from cleaning houses and waiting tables the past 9 months. Being active. But whatever the reason god blessed me with easy labor, delivery and now recovery. If I was guaranteed it would be like this next time, I`d be popping kids out left and right. LOL:)
