Lauryn was by far my worst labor. I felt my first contraction (in my back) at 9 p.m. on Thursday October 7th. I didn't sleep wink that night, at some point in the night I felt a little trickle which I thought was me peeing my pants. The next morning after hours of complaining to my mom and her walking with me about a block we went to the hospital to get checked out. Apparently that trickle was my water breaking, and I was in labor. My contractions were very strong but not very close or timed. I stayed in the hospital walking the halls until around after lunch when I finally gave in and got an epidural. I didn't progress very well and with the help of my mom and the BEST LandD Nurse in the world we were able to prevent a C-Section and ended up needing forceps to deliver Lauryn at 2:13 a.m on October 9th. She weighed in at 8 lbs and 10 oz and was 19 inches long. It was the most difficult thing I have ever done, my mom and best friend with were me the entire time and I look back now and think how blessed I was/am to have the loving familiy and friends i have in my life.

Jordyn was concieved after my husband and I had experienced the pregnancy and birth of Lauryn while we were apart, we had one miscarriage in 2001 and then got married in 2002. After our 2nd miscarriage we were delighted to find out we were having a baby! I was on heparin with Jordyn and will be with every pregnancy afterwards, the birth needed to be induced and I have to say the labor and delivery was so different. I went in around 5 am and after pitocin and breaking of the water 12 hours later I delieverd Jordyn at 7 lbs and 6 oz.

Addisyn was concieved after our 3rd miscarriage. I can't tell a person who has never miscarried how painful it is to lose a child that you never knew. So when a person gets pregnant and discovers the pregnancy is a 'go' its delightful! Addie was born in the Summer of 05 three days before my cousins wedding that I was a personal attendant, Lauryn was a flower girl and Dustin was an Usher. We had her on Wednesday, released on Friday afternoon and was on our way to Lincoln within hours. She too was quick within 12 hours of getting to the hospital I had delivered her. She was 7 lbs and 3 oz and 19 inches long our smallest child (probably becuase we delivered at 38 weeks). She is so excited to get to be The Big Sister she can hardly contain herself.

Grady-Edward`s birthstory

Well we went into the hospital on May 19th for our scheduled induction at 6 a.m. The doctor broke my water at 7 and by 1 p.m. I was pretty uncomfortable I was at a 5 but they told me I was too tense to progress and wanted me to get the epi. I decided I should have it I played strong long enough. It finally kicked in (half of my body) about 20 minutes after administering. The anesthesiologist then UPed the dose and I was numb for about 4 hours after giving birth. Just two pushes and by 4:45 p.m. we had a beautiful little boy to add to our already wonderful family…. it took us 26 hours to name him!!!! look at my page and see my questionnaires about naming this little baby. I wasn’t confused at all was I?? :) He peed on my within 2 minutes of being born.... and has done so again at least 3 times. :):):)
Things are great at home… he is 10 weeks old now and I hate leaving my 4 kids to go to work. but right now that is what I have to do!
