Mitchell`s birthstory

I had a pretty uneventful pregnancy everything went well, I had Mitchell 10 days early after a 68 hour labour including 4 hours of pushing he was finally born at 6.50pm Aug 14th 2007 weighing 7lbs 11oz and 20 inches long, he wasn`t breathing when he was born because he was in shock coz I was pushing for so long, they didn`t realize that he was turned sideways untill 2 and a half hours of pushing so it wasn`t doing anything,and then they were gunna do a c-section but they were already 2 people lined up for one, so out came the vacum!! they tried like 4 times of pulling and turning and it seem like it was going to go on forever,then an hour and a half later his heartbeat stopped and they got him out like 30 seconds later thank god! he was taken away and about 30 mins later brought back in, he started breathing but didn`t cry so they took him away to sort that out my husband went with them while my mom stayed with me, he said that they were flicking his feet to shock him into crying, then he was ok and I got to hold him, it was pretty scary, also while all this was going on I started hemroging because my uterus was not contracting so they had to manually contract it which was like them punching me in the stomach it worked and then they had to stitch me up I had a second degree tear, all I can say is thank god for epidurals!!!!!!! although it did wear off they had to give me more!! Michell is doing great now.

Spencer's Birthstory

I went for a visit to the Dr in the afternoon and he did an internal and I was 1cm dialated and head was not engaged, went home evening was normal, DH and I decided to do the BD to see if anything would happen I was 38w 5d, so at 10pm we did the deed lol, at 1:30am I woke up and felt two small trickles, I went to the bathroom and felt something weird looked in the toilet and my mucous plug was there! ewww!!! I went back to bed but was woken up shortly after at about 2:00am with contractions starting so I told DH something was starting and to get rest while I went downstairs, I made a cuppa tea and sat for a bit the contractions were getting stronger so I made it untill about 6:30am and woke up DH and called my mom to come over and look after Mitchell. Mom came over got everything ready and left for the hospital about 7:30am. We got there and I was checked and I was 2-3cm, I was worried that they were gunna send me home! but because it was my second baby the admitted me yay! So my Dr asked what pain relief I wanted and I said epidural please, he told me that I had to wait till I was 4 cm to order it so I said ok I will have the gas and air untill then, when he left the nurses said what does he know hes a man and we will order it now lol, by the time it came I was 5cm got it and ahhhh what a relief love epidurals!!! Then Dr tried to break my waters only a little came out as It had already broken on the chair when I was contracting! So we waited then I felt pressure it was time to push, I pushed for about 30 mins and slight vacuum use (only a little one at the end) and my beautiful son was born! they put him straight on my chest, it was wonderful! He is such a sweet baby x
