Zaidan-Kai`s birthstory

It was March 7th, 2008 @ 230am when I woke out of dead sleep with the feeling like I was going to start my period. When I got out of bed the slow but steady rush of my water breaking started leaking. When I got to the restroom the RUSH gushed out and I was really excited!! You know you wait so long for this day to happen that when it does your kinda in shock but really happy that its finally here:) I grabbed my wrap around towel w/ valcrow and my DOG FREAKED OUT at the sound of the valcrow and started barking at the front door. By this time I`m yelling for my husband from the bathroom saying `Nida you have to get up` and the response I get is `I`m sleeping` and I was `no, really you have to get up!!! My water just broke!!` In less then 2 seconds he was up and in a daze:) Ha-Ha!! He thought I was waking him up because of the dog!! SURPRISE!! It`s your son!!!! LOL! I call the hospital and they ask me `are you SUUUURE its your water and you didnt just pee yourself` and I said `i`m pretty sure its my water breaking although I`ve never gone through this` and they tell me to lay back down with some towels and if it leaks more to come in. I couldn`t sleep and wasn`t in any pain due to no contractions, so I started doing dishes, packing my bag and leaving my myspace bulletin for all my friends to stay in the loop:) By about 500am we leave the house, take my dog to our friends house, and are on our way to the hospital:) We check in, I get undressed and in the hospital gown, get hooked up to monitors and let the waiting begin!! By about 930am they check me and still no contractions, no nothing. They start me on pitocin because my baby had pooped in the womb and its not safe to leave him in there for longer then x amount of hours. The pitocin starts working and the contractions start coming and the PAIN has arrived!!! I was only 1-2 cms and I asked for my epidural....I`m SUCH A BABY!! But it hurt. Got my epidural and the contractions were cake!! By about noon my epidural started wearing off and I got more meds and was dilated about 2-3cms not much farther. They up my pitocin and the contractions started even harder but I was ok with it as long as I stayed on top of my epidural. By about 4 the contractions were coming and they were coming on strong. My eyes were watering uncontrollable and my husband went and got the nurse for more epidural juice. They get me all situated and say about 10 mins, 2 more hard contractions and the epidural juice will kick in.......NOT, it was more like 7 more contractions in 30mins until the epidural kicked in. But thank god it did cause THEY HURT! It seriously feels like severe period cramps times 20. They start out low and end at a peak of pain and then go away and in about 5 more minutes starts all over again. By about 4ish my sister and mom went to the cafeteria to get something to drink and there taking there time cause I`m still at 2-3 cms and there sitting on the curb and drinking there juice that by the time they come back its about 5pm and I`m already dilated to 8-9!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!! By that time everything seemed to happen so quickly!! Time flew before I knew it they were making me push in the labor room and soon to be wheeling me to the delivery room. I kinda mixed up on my times about everything but it was about 645pm and I`m in the delivery room and all the Dr`s and specialists and nurses were all in the room with me preparing to have a baby boy!! My mom was taking pictures and my husband was really excited and happy and never left my side. Before we knew it I was pushing my 3 pushes and out came Zaidan Kai @655pm. It was so cool because I got to see it all happen with the mirror they put in front of me. I was crying like a little baby when I saw the head of hair coming through the vag canal!! It was so awesome. I still couldn`t believe he was finally coming!! I was so doped up I didn`t feel a thing. My dr`s kept saying of all the 1000`s of deliveries they`ve done, they`ve never seen one like mine. After every push I was smiling and laughing! It was all out of happiness and of course my EPIDURAL!! My little guy seriously came in 3 pushes! They placed him on my belly and he instantly latched on to the booby!! My boy was HUNGRY!! They checked my baby to make sure he didnt swallow tons of meconium, checked his vitals and all that good stuff. Let me tell you Zaidan has some lungs from the time he came was born until we was able to be back in his parents arms. He said we make it all better:) My baby, I love him so much!!!
