Charles-(Charlie)-Calvin-Baldwin`s birthstory

had a planned c-section due to charlies head size and the size of my pelvis as well as the risk of uterine abruption. Having the planned c-section was more nerve racking this time around, also the spinal taking forever as the good ol doctor could not get it in the right spot was not a great experience. To top it off it took like an hour to get my baby out (or at least it felt like that considering they started the surgery at 10 am) The doctor needed to use forceps which resulted in my little man getting a black eye and his face bruised. Because of his traumatic birth and the bruising the developed jaundice which he needed to stay in the hospital extra days for, the doctor in charge of looking after him requested daily blood tests and eventhough the points were going up he refused to put my baby under the light instead to wait and see....although this was a planned birth it was the most traumatic for myself and my children. We finally got home friday evening and other than needing to keep an eye on his skin tone, fluid intake and diaper changes everything is going great. wouldnt change my life for anything i love being a mommy to little charlie and his big sis nicole. :)
