Evan-Theodore`s birthstory

My water broke at 9 pm on Sunday the 17th. I called my sister and waited for her to come over. My sister, my husband and I made our way to the hospital at 10:15. They admitted into the hospital at around 11 pm, I was 3cm dialated and starting to contract. The contractions started coming all of a sudden 1-2min apart.
i wanted to do things as naturally as possible so I laboured for 8 hours without meds, listening to my Hypnobabies cd`s. Unfortunately, my contractions were not very effective and I only dilated 2 cm in those 8 hours. I felt that couldn`t handle another 5-6 hours so I opted for an epidural.
2 hours later I was fully dilated, so I was ready to push. I pushed for 2 hours, he wouldn`t come because he was facing upwards towards my belly. At this point I got a fever, so they put me on antibiotics and told me to rest for an hour. After my fever went away, I pushed for another 2 hours...he still wouldn`t come. They put me on oxygen because his movements had slowed down. Now I started to worry. The doctor manually turned him around but he still wouldn`t come down under my pelvic bone. At this point I am very thankful that I took the epidural!! He still wouldn`t budge, so the doctor had to use forceps. The forceps got him out in one push and I had my healthy baby boy!
