Mikayla-LeighAnn-Scroggins`s birthstory

April 1st 2009 at 3 am I was having contractions every 6 mins. I was so impatient that me and Mikey decided to go down to L&D and see what was going on with our little Mikayla. Well of course they check me and say I'm in "early labor". I was sent home and they said you may go in labor in 15 hours...or a week. You just never know. So we go home and I'm ATTEMPTING to sleep but I get crazy contractions every 6 mins or so. There was no way I was going to sleep. So I wake up at around 7ish and walk around the house and just having uncomfortable pains. So by time 4 comes around, I'm starting to get SEVERE cramping pains. Evantually I started writing down the contraction times and they turn out to be every 4 mins apart. So me and Mikey pack up and head to the hospital.

By time we arrived at the hospital they hurried me in a room since I was already not able to walk without wanting to die every 4 mins. By the time I get checked I'm already 7 cm dialated. We arrived at the hospital around 5:30. So they hurry and put me in a room and start asking if I want an epidural. Of course I said YES! lol. So about an hour goes by and I'm in intense labor and I finally get some sort of pain relief because my blood results had not come back yet so I couldn't get the epidural. So I wasn't in nearly as much pain. Thank goodness. Family and friends start rolling in and evantually I was feeling the pain again. (Seemed like the epidural took forever!). FINALLY I was ready for my epidural and boy was I happy. :) I get my epidural and about an hour later...I was 9 cm and almost ready to start pushing. I was tested positive for group b so I had to wait for all of my antiobiotics to go thru before I could start pushing. So, she missed being an April fools baby since I had to wait. Finally a nurse (my dr wasn't on call...so I had some random guy dr help me deliever) came in and was telling me it's time to push. My mom, Mikey's mom, and Mikey were all in the room with me. I pushed for 25 mins or so. Then the dr came into catch her and Mikayla LeighAnn was born :) I had to get two stiches which don't even really hurt that bad. We are doing great and Mikayla is a beautiful and happy baby.

Everett-Lee-Scroggins`s birthstory

On sunday march 6th my husband and i were scheduled to look at houses and we spent our morning doing that. We picked a house we really loved and decided to do more walking around at lowes to look at paints. I was getting hungrybso we went to a nearby restaurant but the wait was like 30mins so we made our way back to the car. As soon as i opened my door i felt like i had peed a little. So i tell mikey uh i think i peed. Then all of a sudden liquids start gushing out. I was still starving so we ran to sonic LOL. We got to the hospital at around 4:00pm. My water broke at 3:30pm. At this point all my pants are soakrd and me and my husband are laughing andpicking fun at how i looked like a dam had busted.i got a room immediately since it was aparant my water broke. I got all hooked up and then waited...and waited and waited. U was still at 2cms all the way up til 3am. They started potochin to make me go into active labor. I got my epidiral at midnight and that was by far the worst. It took 6 tries to get it in the right spot. I was crying and exhausted. Finally at around 12:10pm i was ready to push! At this point id been up over 24hours. Im exhausted. My dr n husband really helped me put my all into it. 20ish min later i gave birth to a BEAUTIFUL baby boy! He was 8lbs and 4oz and 21` long. As u can imagine i ripped pretty horrificly but hes so worth it. :)
