Ella`s birthstory

Well..where do I begin...First of all I was 4 days late!! My doctor decided to induce. Fir st of all I was very suprised to be that late...thinking this is my second baby....I thought I would be early...not the case. Went into the hospital at 7am .....they hooked me up to the pitocin by 9am and broke my water shortly after. It did not hurt when they broke my water just felt a warm gush...which immediately made me cry because I felt like I was evicting my lil girl before she was ready...lol...I know it was the hormones. Well once the water broke the contractions came on harder..by noon I wanted an epidural. I went natural with my son but these contractions were soo close together I just could not get a break. I wish I could say that the epidural was pain free...not! They had a hard time with the epidural because I was so tense because I was having such strong contractions. I believe it took 3 tries to get it right, but when they did it took about 5 minutes for it to start to work. I was ready to push by then as well. I kept telling the nurse that but she kept saying she did not believe it was time because the last time they checked I was only dialated till 4. Well needless to say..she checked about an hour later and yes..I was fully dialated!! Once my doctor arrived I was ready to push. I had no pain at all..it was great!! Felt a little burning sensation when she crowned...but that was it. I never thought I would be saying that the actual birth was pain free!!...but it was. The outcome was a healthy little girl. I bet I pushed for about 10 minutes. It was a wonderful experience.
