2 weeks after my due date my Dr asked me to come in to the hospital to be induced. 7am they preped me and took me into my own room and set me up with an iv, and the inducer. Every few hours the drs would check me to see if I had dialated. After half a day of contractions I had only dilated like 2 centimeters so they popped my water bag. The contractions came even stronger after that. My baby boy was so high up in my rib cage that my blood pressure was going up and I could no longer breath well. So the following morning they decided he would not be coming down on his own and was already very big they took me in for a c section. i had only dilated 5 centimeteres after 27 hours of labor.

My hubby was in the operation room with me. I dont remember much after the spinal but I do remember that the them from Titanic, "My heart will go on" was playing in the background when my son was being taken out. They showed him to me and I remember thinking he was so white and beautiful. A few hours after I recovered and they wheeled me back into my own room they brought me my 9 lb 3 oz baby boy.

February 17th, 2am in the morning. I woke up because I was having some major back pains that wouldnt go away (remember I had not experiences natural labor pains before only medically induced ones), so I decided to take a warm shower and hope that it helped alittle. While in the shower I looked down and saw my mucous plug had fallen out, I was so excited when I realized I was in natural labor. I went and woke my hubby up and told him I was in labor, we got dressed and went to the hospital right away because I was scheduled to have a c section that day anyway. The hospital was so full of patients that night that they put me into some kind of storage room and laid me on a cot with some pain meds and Im guessing some meds to stop the contractions. I can remember hearing the lady in the next room having her baby naturally and she was screaming in pain and it sounded so horrible I was thanking god I was having another c section LOL. I ended up falling asleep and when I woke it I was being taken to the operation room it was sometime after 11 when there was finally an opening for me. They gave me the spinal shot or at least attempted to and I can remember being poked at least 4 times before my dr came into the room and got it right on his first try. I was so full of medicine I was passing in and out of conciousness. I started vomiting from all the meds and choking on it they had to use a little suction thing to be suctioning it out of my mouth while they were operating. When they were done I believe they showed me my little girl but I can not remember her face or if there was any music because of all the medicine I was on. After many hours in the recovery room they finally took me into a room and a couple hours later and brought me my daughter. I remember thinking she was so ugly LOL, she looked like a little alien with those slanted eyes and her lower lip that would hide under her upper lip LOL. It didnt take even a week before her features changed and she is one of the most beautiful little girls I have ever seen in my life.

Friday December 19th I was supposed to go into my drs office and pick up my instruction papers and register at the hospital for my upcoming surgery on Monday. Instead I woke up at 3am with lots of vomiting and stomach cramping. I figured food posioning or something and I was going to tell my dr when I went in to pick up my paper work. 7 am I woke my kids up to get them ready and off to school, my daughter tells me she throw up also so yea again I figured ah we got food poisoning and thats why my stomach was hurting so bad and I had thrown up until there was nothing left in my stomach. At about 9am my daughters school calls asking me to go pick her up because she had thrown up again but I was in bed with bad cramping and back pains from throwing up as well. So I called my hubby and asked him to go pick her up, he dropped her off at home and told me he would take half a day and be back at noon to take care of us. Well at around 11 I couldnt stand the pain anymore and told my daughter we were going to my drs. I was made to wait in the waiting room for over an hour before the PA saw me and checked me and told me that my cervix was still closed so for me to go home and come back if they were under 5 mins apart, well I explained to her that they WERE under 5 mins apart, so then she says well come back if you can not stand the pain anymore, crying from the pain I said "I can NOT stand the pain anymore." So she calls in the dr that was on call and she came in to check me, why she was doing so I had another contraction and she felt it and told all the nurses in my room (I was still throwing up so they were in there cleaning me up and holding me and stuff) I was in labor and needed to be taken to the hospital immediately. Well the hospital is right across the street from the drs office so they put me on a wheel chair and wheeled me over. I called hubby and told him to pick my son up from school find someone to stay with the kids and get his butt over to the hospital cuz they were registering me and were going to prep me for surgery. While prepping me they hooked me up to a monitor to check the babys heartbeat and my contractions. My contractions were already under 2 mins and of course I had dialated NOTHING, these people couldnt understand that the reason I have Csections is because I DONT DIALATE. Anyway they got me ready prepped me and hubby arrived just in time to get him ready so he can come into the operating room. Everything went pretty smoothly I started throwing up during the surgery so they had to be suctioning my mouth but the second I heard my son cry I started to cry and everything was so worth it. They brought him to me so I can see him and took him to the little incubater thing and told hubby to come be with his son, they wheeled my son out to the nursery and hubby followed. After I was sewed up they took me to the recovery room, in only about an hour I had feeling back in my body and they were taking me to my room. Less than an hour later they brought in my little angel. 6 lbs 8 ozs 19 inches long and so perfect! I was in LOVE!
