Joshua-Isaias`s birthstory

Contractions started at around 8:15 Friday morning, but they were not painful enough to get me out of bed. By about 8:30 I felt like I had peed myself, so I ran to the bathroom and I knew it had to be my water. I called my hubby to come home and I took a quick shower. I was really nervous because Dr had said that since baby was not stationed and floating up high, if my water broke the cord could fall through my cervix.
We got to the hospital at around 9:40 am , my water was only trickling out, so the nurse was going to have me lay in bed and see if she could get a sample so she could make sure it was my water. she walked out of the room for a second and here came a ton of water. She was like ok we are keeping u. The nurse then noticed there was meconium in the amniotic fluid. So my Dr had them put an amnioinfusion in to try and flush the poop out. My contractions were very eractic and not as painful as i remember, but I took the epidural, just in case. I figured I suffered enough with my pregnancy. They let me labor on my own until around 4 pm but I had only dilated to 4-5 so I was finally given pitocin and with in 2 1/2 hours I was pushing my big boy out. So funny I pushed twice and he was out, the nurse had not even gotten everyone we needed into the room yet. Dr aspirated his lungs and put him on my chest, I guess the meconium had not affected him, he was perfectly healthy. I have to say it all went pretty smoothly.
