Mia-`s birthstory

Well... I went to bed Friday evening at ten o`clock after spending the whole day in bed asleep already because I was so tierd and had been experienceing light period pains all day!! As i got into bed I got a much stronger more painful pain and sat in bed rocking backwards and forwards!
By midnight these pains had been getting stronger and stronger,then I realised it was all systems go!I was in labour!
After haveing a show over a week before and false alarms for weeks my lil person was finally on the way!
I called my landlady and she ran a bath for me, I had a really bad stomach but once I got in the bath my landlady started to time my contractions and it gave me something to focus on!
My boyfriend was called (at this time we didnt live together)- Matt was fast asleep as he had been on a late shift and the one night I dont invite him to stay I go into labour!
and my mum was contacted! By three o`clock Id had enough I just wanted to get to hospital and get in with that pain relief!
My mum drove me to the hospital and sure enough I was 4 cm dilated!I was given gas and air as I was adiment I wanted nothing else for the pain!
The midwife massaged my back, then mum, then finaly Matt turned up and took over!
A couple of hours later the midwife ran the water for the birthing pool and as I got in all those horrible back labour pains moved to my front and wot felt like not long later I was at the pushing stage!
At approx 08:53 out popped my beautiful daughter Mia 7lb 8oz!
I had no stitches, just slight bruiseing and I can honestly it was the most amazing thing in the world! My whole pregnancy I was dreading the birth and I was so scared but when it got down to it everything went how I wanted it and everyone I have spoken to envys me for my easy, quick first birth!!
My advice to other expectant mums is drink raspberry leaf tea and have a water birth if you can because it totally relaxed me and moved my back labour to my front where I needed it most to get my baby out quickly and safely!And when you are in labour DONT panic and dont worry that you wont be able to cope with the pain because I didnt think I would, but I did and so will you!You are in the zone when you are in labour and all your energy and concentration is on going on getting out your baby!
