Aidan-James`s birthstory

Went into hospital at 7:30am. Dr inserted a local gel to promote cervical dialation. I responded very well. He broke my water around noon when I was almost 4 centimeters. He seemed to be positive that baby was still going to need lots of coaxing though and told me to save my energy. I heeded his warning and asked for some local anastetic. It took the edge off the contractions for only about an hour. I was arrived at 8 cent very fast, the doc still said that it was going to be awhile. haha. The nurses didn`t think so. I had a very big urge to start pushing... they allowed me. I pushed myself 3-4 times to 10 cent, dr came back and was caught off guard to say the least. Only after 4-5 contractions worth of pushing at 10 cent our little monkey came into this world. Weighing 9lbs 9oz and 22 inches long. It was perfect!
