Jack-Dylan`s birthstory
On Tuesday February 17th, I woke up at 5 am with painful contractions 5 min. apart lasting about 30sec. Through out the morning and afternon I was having contactions less often. I went to L&D at 2:30pm. They had told me that my cevix weren`t soft yet and I was only dialeted about 1cm. I was told to go home and rest. The nurse told me I would probably return in the next couple days. I continued to have painful contractions. From 5pm -6pm the contractions were 10 min apart lasting 60 sec. From 6pm-7pm my contractions were 3-4 min apart lasting for 1min. We left for the hospital at 7pm. At 7:20pm I was 3cm dialated. I was told I would probably have to do some walking to help me dialate. As I entered the delivery room at 7:40pm I had an urge to use the toilet. I sat on the toilet to have a bowel movement, as I pushed my bag of waters had bursed and gushed out. The nurse checked me and told me I was 9cm dialated. (from 3cm-9cm in 20 minutes!!!) I was then told it was too late for the epidural I had asked for earlier. When I laid down in bed the contractions were unbareable. I felt them in my lower back and bum the most. With every contractions I felt I had to poo. About 10 min. later I told the nurse I had to push. She told me to hold off so she can call the doctor. The doctor arrived I pushed 3 times and at 8:35pm Jack was born. 9lbs 1oz. Only a small tear.
