So there I was a week before my due date and the doctor tells me, we're going to induce next week. Since my nephew was born on 09/02, I thought it would be fun to have Jaxon on the same day. Apparently, he had plans of his own. I went in on 09/01 in the evening and they put some stuff in my cervix to try and thin me out. They said if I went into labor on my own that night, they would just let me go. That night nothing happened other then needing to be on oxygen. They gave me some Ambien so I would sleep and I was thankful for that. The next day, they started me on pitocin at 8 am and absolutely nothing happened. I didn't dilate, thin out or have any major contractions. They kept me on it until 5 pm. Once they took me off, I was able to eat and get up and walk around. The next morning about 6 am, they once again started me on the pitocin. The dr. came in around 8 am and broke my water. I almost immediately started having contractions. They were horrible. I ended up passing out after each and every one of them. Finally, I asked for my epidural and it seemed like it took forever to get it. All I remember thinking when they were giving me my epidural, is please don't let me know this guy. His voice sounded so familiar and I had my eyes closed the entire time. I knew I was a mess and I didn't want anyone that I knew seeing me. Finally, once the epidural kicked in, I slept hard for the next 2 hours. In that time, I dilated to 10 and was ready to go when I woke up. The dr. came in and we started pushing. I had Jaxon at 2:49 pm on 09/03/04. He weighed 9 lbs 2 oz and was 21.5 inches long. It was a new experience for me and I couldn't believe I was a mother. Jaxon is now going on 4 years old and is and has always been a wonderful kid. The best work I have ever done in my life.

Dylinn-`s birthstory

I was scheduled to be induced on 5/14/08 at 7 am. I had been having contractions on and off for the last month. The dr. came in and checked me out and I was almost 3 cm dilated and 50% effaced. They started me on pitocin at 9:00 am. Started getting consistent contractions about an hour later. Around 12:00 pm I got on the birthing ball and rocked back and forth. At that time, I started getting really good contractions. I asked my hubby to help me up from the ball as I needed to use the bathroom. As soon as I got off the birthing ball, I got another really strong contraction. I had to hold on to my hubby for support and then I thought I had peed my pants. My hubby looked down and it was blood. He helped me to the bathroom where I waited for the nurse there. All the while getting contractions. I asked for my epidural at that time and the nursed checked me and informed me I was 7 cm and 100% effaced. Once I got the epidural, I slept pretty good for about an hour or so. Finally the nurse checked me again as the dr was walking in and she said I was ready. The dr. broke my water and we started pushing. I had her out in 3 good pushes. It was amazing and since we didn't find out what we were having, when they told me it was a girl, I was in shock for about an hour. My husband and I both cried and we were just so happy. I did however have one of my employees walk in while I was delivering the placenta. That was a bit embarrassing. But other then that, it was a safe delivery and a wonderful experience.
