Katie-Margaret-Bishop`s birthstory

Hi. This was my 4th baby and I learned a very hard lesson this time round. Of course I had everything planned and knew exactly what was going to happen. NOT!!!. The Monday before my due date I had a check-up and the nurse was a little bit worried because Katie hasn`t dropped yet. Went to see the docter on Wednesday and she wasn`t sure either and sent me for a scan. Katie was Breech. They then sent home to fetch the kids from school and to return the afternoon to try and turn her. WOW. Things were not turning out the way I planned it. Went back and they injected me with a muscle relaxant and then tried to turn her. i cannot tell you how painful this was. In the end they figured she`d turned. Did a scan and she was lying with her head to the side. Tried to turn her to go head down but she wouldn`t budge. Turb=ned her bask into breach and scheduled a c-section for the Friday. Now I was starting to become a little bit emotional. This was not going as planned. Booked into hospital Thursday aft. Friday morning they try to turn her just for good measure and tthe docter says. Lets just do a scan to make sur shes breech because it feels like shes all the way under the pelvis bone. Did a scan and Katie wasn`t breech any longer. Now you have to remember that by now I made my peace with having a c-section. Spent a night in hospital listening to the poor ladies delivering and thinking. This isn`t so bad. And I`ll be holding little Katie in my arms sooner than I thaught. Now they are sending me home and I couldn`t help but feel a ltlle bit dissapointed. Due date came and went and by Wednesday morning 2 o`clock I woke up with mild contractions. Walked around for about 2 hours while they were becoming stronger. My mom woke up and we sat and chatted. by 5 I had a nice hot bath. Woke my sister and I got dressed. Woke Anthony by six and we left for hospital with contractions really starting to hurt bad and me wondering why I wished for natural again. Got to the hospital and waited around for about an hour and was then taken to the birth room. PV`ed and was 6 cm dilated. About half an hour later I wanted to push and was fully dilated and they had to break my water. At 08:05 Katie was born a beautiful perfect baby girl.
