| Wyatt Sex: boy Born: 20 April, 2007 Age: 1 years & 230 days Birthday in: 135 days Starsign: Aries Development: See the 19 months page. Biggest achievement so far: Wyatt just turned a year old. I`m not sure what his biggest achievement would be..I consider them all big achievements haha. But lets see he started walking on his 10mth. birthday, said Mama at 5mths. said Dada at 6mths. and now he says Pup Pup, Pap pap, Doggy, Uh oh, and Ya ya. He is off of formula completely now and eats big boy food and drinks whole milk. At his last doctors apt. (for his 1 year) he weighed in at 24lbs and was 30.5inchs tall which is a far cry from the little 6lb 14oz 19.5 inch long baby boy we brough home a year ago! But I couldn`t be happier although sometimes I miss him being little it seems like he is growing up soo fast! |
Wyatt's Birth Story!
I guess i'll start from the very beginning! My husband and I got married July 22, 2006 I found out I was pregnant at the end of August 2006 which I was completely shocked because my periods had been being very irregular and I wasn't even going to test, but for some reason I stopped at the drug store on the way home from work and bought a test never thinking it would be positive! I got home went in the bathroom did the test went out and started doing laundry and dishes and all that fun stuff almost forgetting about the test, went back in and boy was I suprised! There it was plain as day 2 lines! So I got out the second test that came in the pack and did it and again 2 lines! So that night when my husband came home from work I told him and he was shocked and very very happy! I called my OB made an appointment they got me down there the following morning to do blood work and a ultrasound to make sure it was a tubal pregnancy or anything like that. About a week later the morning sickness kicked in HARD! I threw up morning noon and night for the first 3.5mths! Felt pretty good months 4-6 and then developed Toximia in my final trimester. He was considered a high risk pregnancy because I have a duplicated uterous, Yes you heard right a duplicated uterous technically I could get pregnant 2 at the same time one in each!! So that is why my pregnancy was high risk because they didn't know if there would be enough room for him to grow and told me I could go into labor at 18 weeks, so I was monitored very carefully and had ultrasounds done at least once a month which I didn't mind cause I got to see my little man! But I would get sooo scared before each apt. thinking they were gonna tell me something was wrong, but surely enough every time they said He looks perfect they couldn't be more pleased and told me it was a miracle even they never expected the pregnancy to go that smoothly! The doctors insisted he would be born premature but my little guy was a stubborn little one he was born at 39 weeks via a scheduled c-section! I went to my doctors apt. which I thought was just gonna be a routine check up and my doctor sent me into have a ultrasound done and said if his lungs and everything look good we will go ahead and schedule you for a c-section next week! They did the ultrasound he looked great the tech. said feel free to have him at any time! So my doctor scheduled my c-section for the following friday April 20, 2007..I couldn't believe it I was gonna meet my little man in 1 week! I was ready to bust at the seems with excitment, but my husband and I still wanted to keep it a secret to suprise the rest of the family so we agreed we would tell both of our parents but swear them to secrecy! We left for the hospital at 430am April 20th my parents followed us down and waited in the waiting room. My husband and I were escorted back to the room we'd be staying. I was fine the whole way down to the hospital but once I got there and put the gown on it all I think hit me at once wait a minute they are doing a c-section omg omg omg haha I started to scare myself! The nurses did my vitals and got me all checked in and ready to go down to the OR and at 730 I made my way down to meet with the anastesialogist (spelling!!) He went over what they were going to do (I was soo worried about having a needle put into my back that scared me the most for some reason) anyhow I went into the OR they rolled me onto my side said I would feel a pinch from the first needle and then a strange sensation from the second and strange it was it felt like somebody taking a nail and grinding into cement is the only way I can think of to describe it. It wasn't really painful, just that sort of sensation I guess. Anyhow, not even 5 seconds after they put me back on my back I was completely numb! I was told I would just be numb from my toes to my rib cage, but I was numb from my toes clear up to my throat haha I remember freaking out cause it felt like I couldn't swallow! Then I started to feel like I was choking! But I tried to remain as calm as possible they allowed my husband to come into the room then, and not 2 min. later I heard a crying sound and stupid me starts to like look around thinking where's that coming from and the nurse says thats your baby boy! I said oh he's out already! They took him over cleaned him up and brought him over I got to see him for about 1 second and they rushed him and my husband out of the room. And just then I got extremely sick! I started throwing up they started pumping stuff into me and gave me oxygen it felt like I was laying there forever once my husband and son left. I was just trying to stay as calm as possible, but it was def. hard to do when you are throwing up and you have both your arms strapped down to the table to both sides of you and you can get up. But I hung in there and before to long I was off to recovery. At that point I wasn't in any pain I just remember shaking and being extremely cold! They gave me 2 doses of something to I guess bring my body temp. up and tons and tons of warm blankets! I was in recovery for about a half hour then got to go back up to my room. I passed my mom and dad on my way and they said "He's Beautiful!!" they got to see him real quick in passing as the nurse brought my husband and Wyatt back up to the nursery. I then got to my room and saw my husband he asked if I had got to see wyatt again, I said no but where is he cause of course I wanted him!! He said they had to bath him and would bring him over to us as soon as they did that. It seemed like forever, I finally couldn't wait any longer and had my husband walk down to the nurses station and ask if they could bring him to my room. They promised it would only be another 5 min. and they would bring him down first thing! But the wait was killing me!! But within about 2 min. or so they wheeled him in, and asked who gets him first mommy or daddy..and of course my husband said give him to his mom. Right at that moment I think it all hit me everything he ws here, I was about to hold my son, my baby who I carried for 9 months, my little miracle baby was here he was happy and very healthy! But I will say this he is def. his daddy's boy cause I wasn't holding him for 2 min. and he started passing gas! haha and he also had his daddy's little crooked grin. He was born at 7:53am April 20, 2007 he weighed in 6lbs. 14oz. and was 19.5 inchs long. And in my eyes and his daddy's eyes he was just as perfect as could be! Of course! Finally at noon my parents were given the OKAY to come in and meet there grandson (there first!) and my husbands parents arrived shortly after. And slowly throughout the day friends and family filtered in and out. I will say I thought the c-section was going to be a lot more painful that what it was, they gave me a self give morphine machine haha but I think I only had to hit the button maybe 3 times. The following morning I was allowed to get up out of bed and stayed out of bed that whole day and took no pain meds at all. And then when Sunday rolled around they took wyatt to the nursery for one of his check ups and my doctor came in and told me if the ped. said Wyatt was good to go she would discharge me early since I was doing so well. Wyatt's ped. gave the okay for him to leave and we headed home for the first time as parents at 2:20pm. We arrived home to signs that sayd welcome home wyatt and balloons and lots and lots of food! And there you have in short how little Wyatt James came into this world, and made his mommy and daddy the happiest people in the world!
