Emma-Boyce-Brown`s birthstory

She`s here, and she`s perfect!! Anywho, Friday night my water broke at 8:55pm. We headed over to the hospital and was admitted right away! However I was only dilated 1cm. Contractions started...but not too bad...breathed through them easily. Was given some medication to help me sleep through the contractions. Saturday morning still hadn`t progressed much.. was 3 cm for the most part of Saturday... but because they gave me pitocen I started having contractions 40 seconds apart and really really strong!!! OUCH! Two epidurals later....(that both wore off)..around 11:30pm I was checked and only 6 cm. They said that if I didnt progress in an hour we would have to start talking c-section.. So that hour was the most painful EVER!! We put in the Seven Metals cd and TRIED to breathe...it`s hard when your body insists on pushing but your not allowed to. So at 12:30 am (Sunday) they checked me again and WHA LA!! I was 9 1/2cm!! They gave me 15 more minutes til I could PUSH! That was the longest 15 minutes of my life!! 12:45am I started pushing...31 minutes later (totally give credit to prenatal yoga for such a quick delivery) out came our baby!!
at 1:16am Sunday April 13th, Emma Boyce Brown was born. 9 lbs 2 oz. 20 1/2 inches long! Beautiful and healthy baby girl!! I honestly believe that without the prenatal yoga I would have never been able to pop out a 9lb 2 oz baby in 31 minutes!!! OH, with only 2 stiches :-)
