Okay so this is my story i can finally finally write this lol so i suggest you go put the kettle on make yaself a brew cos im expecting you to be here reading this a good while! Okay so they took me into hospital Wednesday the 9th of Jan to be induced... and to try the prostagladin pessarys to try and get things moving along, so when i got there they tried the first one.. then left me about 6 hours.. and said they would come bck and check me to see if it had done anything.. so 6 hours later they come back and nothing had happened, so they said we will try one more, leave you over night and check you again in the morning, so they did that and all night i was up with bad pains which i was getting every 4 minutes, asked for some pain killers to take the pain away because i was told it wasnt actual labour it was just pains from the prostins, so i finally got to get some sleep, then the next day the doctor came to check at about 2pm! which i was expecting him to come in the morning so we could at least get things going a bit quicker... so he checked.. and nothing again had happened. so off he went, and left me a good few hours didnt tell me anything.. or what was going to happen now.. later that night about 10 oclock i asked a midwife what was going to happen next.. said they would leave me a day to recover from the 2 prostins and then try a 3rd if the doctor gave his consent.. so the next day was a drag, i was basically sat in hospital with no labour pains, no nothing, watching everybody around you give birth and sit with their babies is such an awful feeling, alls i could think was that should be me sat there! so neway the day after comes ( Friday ) and the doctor gives the go ahead for another prostin pessary ( my last as you can only have 3) and if this didnt work.. well i didnt have a clue! so off he went and left me again for another 6 and a half hours.. they moved me from my bed to another bed which was awful, so uncomfy! the doctor came back to check me at half past 8, still the pessary hadnt done a thing! said i would be reassessed in the morning,didnt get hardly any sleep what so ever!. so again another morning comes along and the doctor comes and takes away my toast! and my brew and says im being taken upstairs to delievery suite and going to be put on the drip of oxycin? is it called, i dunno the name of it but its what starts your contractions, but they was going to break my waters first. well breaking the waters at one cm... was going to be hard and very painful, so i was taken upstairs, had my water broken ( with plenty of gas and air for that too lol ) they started my drip... i started getting pains about half an hour afterwards.. at every 4 minutes.. said they wud check me in 3 hours, came and checked.. nothing had happened, the nurse was coming in the room every half n hour increasing the amount of oxycin, i could of swore she was coming in every 2 minutes lol, so basically ill try and cut a long story short... altho its kinda long already lol the increased my drip to the fullest it could go.. and i was in solid labour for 10 hours.. with nothing down there happening, so i had to have a emergency c-section, and Corey Lee was born at 7:48pm on the 12Th January.. finally! we stayed in hospital only 1 and a half days, recovering well but very painful... i deffo will not be having any more children.. even if it is worth it! okay so i know i babbled on a bit, but i had a hard time the only pain relief i had was gas and air, and 2 petadine injections.. for 11 hours of labour i think thats good.. neways its been nice to beable to share my experience with every other person ive spoken to on this website.. and hope we can continue to chat about our babies! lol love Mummy & Corey xx
