Danielle-Renee`s birthstory

I wentin to the hospital at 10:30am to start the antibiotics for the GBS (strep B), and they started the induction around 1 or 1:30. Just shortly before 4 I was dialated between 4 & 5 so they broke my water. The epidural did seem to slow the labor some, but it was bad. I was upset that Ronnie was not permitted in the room when they did the epidural. That took a while and was very painful. I sent Ronnie out in the evening to have a cigarette and ended up texting him to come back because contractions had suddenly become very strong and very intense. The doctor came in the same time he did, she checked me and said it was time to go. I didn`t really have the urge to push yet, but I was totally dilated and effaced. I only pushed three times and they laid her on my stomach.
She is perfect, lots of hair, the biggest bluest eyes I have ever seen and so alert it is amazing. Ronnie cried when they handed her to him to hold. He is so protective already and she is a daddies girl. She could be crying like crazy and when he picks her up, she calms right down. Don`t get me wrong, things are still not perfect with Ronnie and I, he did not sign the birth certificate, he is still having his doubts, but he did ask that she get his last name and he wants to sign the BC after a paternity test. I said I wanted the test so he never has any doubts. I don`t want that little flicker of a doubt in the backof his mind, and I know it would always be there with out the test. He loves he though and thats all I asked. He came over yesterday and we took her for her first checkup together, so that was great. I know things will just keep getting better.
