Ceejay-Francis`s birthstory

Labour started around 10:00 p.m on February 2nd. I wasn`t even sure that I was in labour though because everyone told me it would feel like period cramps but it didn`t at all it was just sort of a stabbing pain in my back. Finally between 2:00 and 3:00 a.m I woke up my mom because the pain was starting to get unbearable and I told her that I thought I was in labour and we should go to the hospital.
Got to the hospital around 3:30 a.m and the contractions were coming about 4-5 minutes apart and I was 4 centimeters dialated. I was begging for an epidural already but they had to get me settled in my room and whatnot. My boyfriend showed up around 4:00 in the morning and him and my mom sat with me for a while. The contractions then started coming about 2 minutes apart and I didn`t know someone could be in so much pain without passing out, it was bad... I couldn`t get the epidural right away because the only person qualified to adminster it was in a c-section so was left to suffer until she was done which they told me would take about an hour and hour and a half. Finally at 6:30 she shows up and she was really good and the pain immediately. I was worried because of all the horror stories but she did a really good job. Right after the epi they checked me and I was 8cm. I couldn`t imagine having to have went further than that without it though. Labour slowed alot after that. About 10:00 am I was 10cm and it was time to start pushing. I was pushing for almost 2 hours before they decided he was not coming out. They had to give me a 3rd degree episiotomy which was not fun and I am still in pain from but at least it got him out safely as the cord was around his neck. 12:15 pm My beautiful baby boy was born at 9lbs 1oz and he was just wonderful. He did pass some meconium in the womb though so he had a little trouble breathing and spitting up for the first 24 hours but other than that he was perfect. He could lift his own head from the day he was born and the doctors call him superbaby. His apgar scores were 9 and 9 and I am so proud of him. Since the moment his mommy and daddy held him we both fell in love and I couldn`t be happier that he is such a happy and healthy little man. Made it home on Friday morning and we are still getting adjusted to our new life but it is going very well. This is surely a story I won`t forget.
