Malik`s birthstory

I had my beautiful angel on March 20th and I am in absolute heaven... he is beautiful. The birth was surprisingly easy. I got induced and after a couple of hours of not feeling much, I began to feel heavy period cramping down low. The nurse told me that it wasn`t contractions, because the monitor didn`t show any. As they got stronger, I realized that she was wrong. After about an hour of heavy contractions, I was able to get the epidural and was virtually pain free. I stayed dilated to 4 for several hours and the baby`s heartrate was decelerating mildly with each contraction, so the doctor started bringing up the need for a c-section if things did not progress. The nurse came in to check the monitor and suddenly I felt this incredible urge to push and felt like something was coming out of me so I asked the nurse to check me and unexpectedly I was fully complete. I pushed for about an hour and he was born (as my husband likes to joke `right at the Laker game tip-off` - he`s a big fan...) Anyways, my beautiful baby is here and I could not be happier.
