Zane-Owen`s birthstory

Let me tell you what, if birth is always as easy as I had it I`d have 10 more kids.

All day friday I was having what felt like slight crapping. But it wasn`t anything steady enough to worry about so i went ahead and went to work and worked 10 hours that day. Just keeping track of the pains on a post it pad. On my lunch my sister and I went to Wal-mart and walked around. (Would`ve went outside but it was just way to darn cold out) I didnt really feel much different. So later that day once all my co-workers went home I proceded to climb the stairs and doing squats when I got to the top and bottom. I was determined to have this baby before my due date. And beings that was my last day at work I was going to get down to business!!

Once I got home I just kinda laid around. I was soo exhausted. Josh went to bed in the bedroom but I stayed out on the couch, I couldn`t sleep comfortably in there anyhow. I was going to find out soon enough that I wasn`t going to sleep comfortably on the couch either. About 10 o`clock I started waking up w/ pains every ten minutes or so. I just ignored them for awhile figured it wasn`t anything. Finally bout 10:45 I called my sister to come and sit with me. This whole time i was keeping track of my contractions on a piece of paper, and starting to notice they were getting closer and were actually steady this time.

We left for the hospital at about 11:30 got there about midnight. Once we were there they started coming full force. Up untill then they were totally bearable and no big deal. I don`t think we were in my room for more then maybe 20 minutes when my water broke. It was soo scarey. I was sitting there on the side of the bed then all of a sudden I felt a pop and I was soaked. Toni and Josh got up and ran to the door and started yelling for the nurse. Everything happened sooo fast. A little bit later they came in and checked me, I was at 3 centimeters.....then like MAYBE an hour later I was at six. By then my contractions were insanely painful. with much pain and effort I finally got my epidural, thank god! All that pain just melted away. Then for the next 4 or 5 hours i just kinda hung out. It really slowed down the progress down. Where as before I got the shot I was having contractions right on top of each other, it was insane. My labor was progressing so quickly it was scarey. They has scheduled for the Dr to come in at 6 am to check me and see if i was ready to push. and with minimal pain (thankx to the drugs) Zane Owen was born at 6:19 am!!! Just as beautiful as I had hoped he`d be.
