Malachi`s birthstory

Well I woke up at 2.15am Saturday morning with mild contractions (not that i thought that they were contractions at that point). Got up and phoned the labour and delivery. They said to wait until the contractions were 5 minutes apart. So we started timing them and they varied from 3-7 minutes. After about half an hour later they were coming a bit more regular so we went to the hospital. They checked me and i was only 2cm so they sent me home. At home i laboured for a furthur 3 hours. When my contrations were about 2 mins apart we went back. They checked me again and i was 5 cm so they admitted me to a room. Laboured for a bit longer without pain relief and then asked for gas and air. This didnt really take much off of the pain to be honest, but made me feel like my arms and legs were vibrating lol. So after a little while the pain was unbearable. She checked me again and i was 9cm, but babys heartrate had started to drop with each contration so they had to get him out quick. Loads of people rushed in and scrubbed up. The doctor then broke my water which was a massive relief, cut me and then use the ventouse to help baby out. About 15 minutes of pushing later and he was delivered!
The pain abated for a short while, but then i started to get smaller contractions again. I had already delievered the placenta so they were unsure what the problem was. So after stitching me up she put her hand right in and pulled out 3 massive clots. YUUUK. But that eased the pain. She then put a pain relieving suppository in my bum and I was taken to the maternity ward!
