lilmissk - Tuesday, 9 December Hey! I just got hired last week, and haven't started training yet so I might not be too helpful! I did apply though because I desperately want to be a stay at home mom, too. I will be sure to tell you more about it once I start though. Hopefully it works for both of us, because I'm dreading coming back to work!!
babytauri - Tuesday, 9 December When did you lose yours? Any other signs of labor? I had some contractions Sunday night but that's it. I'm starting to get uncomfortable though. My whole lower body aches!
mcbender3 - Tuesday, 9 December Hello there ladies.. I have posted a new blog.. It's about making your own baby food and would love some input. Thanks.
As far as my weight loss goes, I will post about it thursday since that day marks one month! =]
ashleyxchairez - Monday, 8 December hey ladies! i finally had my baby shower on saturday and i pretty much got everything i needed! im so happy i only have to get a swing and some bottles! i added some pics if you would like to see them go right ahead!
krhayes - Sunday, 7 December Your doctor is right b/c ever since mine told me i was a 1 and 50%....I can't stop thinking about it! And trying not to get hopes up b/c I know you can sit at a 1 or 2 for a month! Are you still working? My last day is thursday. Had enough. Getting harder.
babytauri - Saturday, 6 December Well, last night I went to pee and some of it came out. It was about the size of a pea. Then this morning I went to pee and ALL of it came out. It was really gross! Actually, if you remember how your cervical mucous is when you ovulate, it looked like that, but waaay more. It wasn't tinged with blood though. It was just really thick and looked like snot. So now I'm just waiting and waiting and waiting... :)
babytauri - Saturday, 6 December I JUST LOST MY MUCOUS PLUG! Still no action yet and baby still moving around in there. Doc said not to panic; if I start contracting closely, bleeding or my water breaks, then I need to come in, but for now, it could be anywhere from a few days to another week before anything happens. So....I guess it's just a waiting game now! :) I haven't had any contractions or anything, but she does seem to be pushing down quite a bit. I will be sure to keep you all updated! :)
krhayes - Saturday, 6 December Just swelling in the legs and feet. They've actually gotten a little better. Course its always there! See I'm having that discharge but none of it was blood/pink tinged. Does your mucous plug have to be a litte bloody? I've lost a couple pounds which I've heard you can do when you get closer. And am having looser bowels so hopefully we're nearing the end quick! I forgot- do you get checked to see if you're dialated?
MelissaLMoore - Saturday, 6 December Hehehe...Guess you could say there is a light at the end of the tunnel now....hehehe. Congrats hon!
amber0225 - Saturday, 6 December My doctor wants the little one to stay in for just a week longer so I'm resting lots!
krhayes - Friday, 5 December Ok- gross q: how did you know it was your plug. b/c I've been having more discharge but yellow/white. I heard the plug will be blood tinged. Is that true? and a HUGE glob? In other words, how did you distinguish b/w regular discharge? I'm doing good. Having bad swelling and pain/pressure in groin but other than that- nesting like no tomorrow:)
babytauri - Thursday, 4 December It sure does! She'll be here in about 2 weeks! How are you feeling??
krhayes - Thursday, 4 December How are you? Hey- assuming you've been having BH- its not real labor until it hurts right? I'm so confused on this stuff! Are you dialated any?
babytauri - Thursday, 4 December Yeah like 2 weeks away! I think that's why he keeps doing ultrasounds too, to make sure she's big enough and healthy enough. But the fact that I've already dilated some and she's dropping means that she'll be ready soon anyway! And I never relied on my docs dates cuz I know exactly when she was conceived and when my last mp was so we're right on track! How are you feeling? I read your blog.
babytauri - Thursday, 4 December Not necessarily a NEED but he's going away for Christmas and I don't want another doctor to deliver her, especially since I have a comfort with him. I'm due on the 20th anyway so I won't go overdue regardless. I'm already 2cm and I've made that progress in the last week, so I'm hoping she decides to come on her own before the 20th!
babytauri - Wednesday, 3 December I am soooo excited! I went to doc today and I'm 2cm dilated!!!! We're making progress! Even better, he said if she doesn't come on her own by the 16th, he's gonna induce me before my duedate (the 20th)! You can read more in my profile! Hope all of you get some good news at your next appointment! :)
Debra - Wednesday, 3 December
yah, again i've seen this kind of discoloration on legs/feet of some of my heavier obese patients- as they have a lot of pressure on their poor feet and legs and its related to circulation issues- just as the heart has to work harder to get blood flow down to the feet and back up to the heart. The suggestions I added on the other comment will make a difference (if it is circulation)- as will having baby out of course. DO you feel like there is more pressure (from your baby weight gain) on your legs than when you weren't pregnant? or feel heavier or more difficult to move at all? More tissue pressure? Does your skin feel different compared to the more normal coloured skin? texture different at all?
Debra - Wednesday, 3 December so i'm looking at your legs- and they look like my patients legs that have circulation problems. Have you noticed any edema? ie. when you press into your skin at your ankles or feet, does it leave a dent? At what point in your pregnancy did it start? If its a circulation issue and or pregnancy related, it should clear by about 2 months after baby is born. In the meantime, elevate those legs, soak your feet in cool water and bath salts for 20 min a day. - nice to do while you wait for baby! Get your hubby (or do it yourself) to start massaging your legs, promoting circulation and movement to go upward your legs, not downwards. Use a nice cream. It will feel nice if nothing else and if you start noticing a difference, then you can assume its a circulation issue. Otherwise, the pictures are a little unclear. What do your toes look like? But from what I can see, it really looks like what i've seen with issues related to circulation. Otherwise i don't have an answer for you :(
ashleyxchairez - Wednesday, 3 December Okay so ever since ive been pregnant i have had some weird cravings! I have to chew on a toothbrush! i have bought over 50 toothbrushes cause im constantly chewing on them and then i have to throw them away casue the brissels start falling out. So I was wondering if you ladies had any weird cravings or rutuals like mine?
Harpchick - Wednesday, 3 December Dear ones, just a quick note to say Tiana has arrived! 10:46 this morning EST; 7lbs 11oz, 21" long with lovely red hair. It was a more complicated delivery than we had hoped, and required me being knocked out with general anesthesia. They decided not to risk either a spinal or an epidural because of my unstable spine; this in the end I missed the birth and Bob was not allowed in either-- bummer! There was an awful lot of scar tissue that caused problems getting inside, and then Tiana was stuck and they literally couldn't get her out for quite a while, which resulted in some extreme roughness when they started to worry, so they've warned me to expect a slow recovery, but Tiana is just perfect so we're delighted. Very tired from the meds but ill write more soon when I'm more coherent and ok my laptop and not my iPhone! Thank you all for your kind wishes-- hugs to you all twice over!
