mommaseverin - Friday, 23 January i am curious, is anyone else missing being prego? i am. motherhood is so overwhelming i barely have time to pee! i read on babycenter someone said that they sometimes wish they were still prego so they can still nurture their baby and bond with it because of how hard it is. i felt validated. it is hard. especially after bedrest. but to see her smile is worth getting up every 2 hrs. just thought i would ask anyone else. i really miss the kicking feeling too. now i am left with a sagging belly...lol!
mommaseverin - Thursday, 22 January sorry i haven't been on 4 a while. motherhood is very hard. alot moreso than i thought. I hope all are doing well and babies are great and those to u who have not had babies, good luck with your pregnancy. I go back to work feb 2 and am not looking forward to it. i will have family watch kenzie throughout the week. nice to save $$. baby is waking up so talk to everyone later!
mommaseverin - Thursday, 22 January my daughter wakes when i put her down too. she hac acid reflux so she hs to sleep elevated in car seat. she loves being snuggled and held or wrapped tight. try that with your little one. it took my dd a month to figure out night and day. she only gives me a 4 hour stretch at night though. good luck and hope u sleep!
lilymae - Thursday, 22 January It varies, some days she will sleep alot and others awake all am and sleep most of the evening. One thing I have found helpsis to make sure she is full.
lilmissk - Tuesday, 20 January Yes. Sending in that last form was supposed to be my acceptance of the position.
lilmissk - Tuesday, 20 January Hey. It turns out the problem was with me. I had sent all except 1 form so they couldn't process my application!! Ugh! I'm sending it today so as soon as something else happens I will let you know.
lilmissk - Tuesday, 20 January Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed about it. I will let you know!
lilmissk - Monday, 19 January Exactly!!! I don't like the way they are. They just keep sending me emails telling me to expect a different email about other stuff. It's frustrating.
lilmissk - Monday, 19 January Hey!! I'm fine. Just sleepy, but that seems to be a pregnancy norm! LOL
As for West at Home, I don't know what to tell you. The last time I talked to you about them I had just submitted my tax information and the other information that must be submitted before starting a job. I haven't heard from them since. I will email them now (since nothing seems to be done by phone!) and see what's going on.
HeatherNewman - Friday, 16 January Alexis has her days and nights mixed up so I'm not getting much sleep either! But unfortunately there's nothing we can do about that, I do know from experience that not to much longer and it will work itself out. My son did the same thing and then one night he slept all night and never had a problem since. Hang in there!
jo,jo - Friday, 16 January Hi Missy, are you on facebook? I am on that much more than this site these days and would like to stay in touch! Jo x
jo,jo - Friday, 16 January Hi, Sylvie is the same about sleeping. At some point between 7pm and 7am she will sleep for 3 hours, the rest of the time she is wide awake and cries if i put her down. She also will not fall asleep in her moses basket, I have to wait for her to fall asleep on me and then try to gently lower her down into the basket without waking her, which 80% of the time doesn't work and she just wakes up and cries! I am breastfeeding her and all she seems to want to do is eat!!! I am so exhausted I have already shed a few tears, I hope these times don't go on for too long x
wwatters18 - Friday, 16 January thats great! i wish that were my case:(
krhayes - Friday, 16 January when do you go back to work? 2 oz on both or one?
krhayes - Friday, 16 January I know hun- I'm in the same boat. Very sleepy. OK- try the water bottles (for enemas) fill it with warm water and I turn lane on his side and put the bottle behind him. makes him think its a person due to warmth. or we have found out when he's waking easily- he needs to burp. Mine is a bouncer. have to bounce to make him burp. try that. He has really bad gas too. Have you tried gas drops or gripe water? both are safe. Ok- for pumping. are you breastfeeding too or just pump? I'm doing both but only pump like once a day. I would suggest pumping every 2 hrs to make your supple increase. I got a natural herb called fenugreek that doc said was ok to use. it helps with fussy baby and milk prod. try that. if you pump and baby wakes and feeds 30 or hour later-don't worry he will get milk. Can you tell I've been talking to lact. consultants? hehe
tto - Thursday, 15 January I really don't know if that is a good brand or not. They offer so much for bfing, I'd think it was a good brand. What happened to it recently? Also, be patient with yourself, it takes time to have good milk supply built up.
35Npregnant - Thursday, 15 January Is his crib in another room? Or far from your bed? Newborns are still like a fetus in your womb in the dvd " Happiest Baby on the Block" the discuss the 4th trimester that you need to mimick that of your womb. I have a bassinet just next to my bed. If you can't have him that close to you or in same room; purchase a white noise machine i use the white noise on my Iphone and place it besides my little one she loves it!!! It has the similar sound of our womb they constantly heard noises inside so they still need that rhythmic sound of our heartbeat, breathing etc.... Also give a pacifier when putting him down helps to sooth them and you should swaddle him as well this calms them down. My husband will swaddle her and do the shhhh close to her ear while rocking her on her side in his arms she becomes quiet instantly afterwards we place her in the bassinet with white noise and pacifier and she sleeps... She was colicky but last night I gave her "gripe water" by baby bliss and in combination with everything else and she slept for 5 hours! last night. Which is amazing with colicky baby..... Try some of these things if you have not. Let me know if it helps.... I also try to keep her up in the daytime after feeding for longer periods and do tummy time with her on my belly to strengthen her neck muscles and tire her out!
