No that has never happened to me, but carpal tunnel is a pregnancy related symptom. I am not sure if that could be it? I hope it gets better soon! Keep me updated!

It may be carpal tunnel syndrome - which is common during pregnancy. I've had this before (not while pregnant) and now while pregnant my hands get numbed at night. You might consider buying hand braces at your local pharmacy (black fabric with a metal bar) to stabilize your hands. If you use computers or use your hands a lot for work - this is could be the reason why you are having these symptoms. My obygn recommended the hand braces also while sleeping. Hope this helps.

i think that happened to me when i was preg w/tristan...i use to lose muscle function in my hands too...really weird.
