congrats!! my daughter is 6 months old. my plan is to bf for a year, but i may have to go back to work and i HATE pumping. i just want her to get used to the bottle again. she used to take it just fine, but it's a battle now. she screams and cries so hard when we try. i just bought the NUK bottle from gerber last night. i'm crossing my fingers that she'll like it. the nipple is really soft and shaped like the breast. i asked a lactation consultant and she said, "why would she want a bottle when she has you? the child knows what she wants!" uugh! sometimes i just need a break, ya know? was it a litte emotional for you once she stopped? i have mixed feelings about it. i love nursing..

Hi there! I went to the breastfeeding forum and noticed you commented a while back about weaning your daughter. How is that going? My daughter refuses to take a bottle, and trust me, I've tried every bottle/nipple/sippy cup you can think of. She gags and cries every time. I at least want her to take a bottle of MY MILK..lol! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Still haven't had it yet...it's on 11/16 so two weekends away...lol. I will definately let you know how it goes though...and I've done good so far not to really let anyone know I'm in on the secret (only my husband who was the one to start the whole thing, his aunt and one co-worker). I keep telling everyone else I'm just so excited to see my parents in another two weeks for the surprise 80th b-day part! And I'll tell you, my co-workers are laughing and smirking all over the place when I talk about it...ha-ha. I hope I pull it off well...after all, don't want mom to be disappointed!

She loved Halloween! I just took her to about 5 or 6 houses on our street and she had a blast! She was practically dragging me along the sidewalk, she was running so fast. Everytime we passed other kids, she was squeeling with laughter and waving at everyone! She's had bakery sweets before, but she's never had candy before Friday. She got SO wired and hyper off the sugar it was hilarious! Now she keeps going to the basket of candy and beggin for it. Mike had to put it on top of the kitchen cabinets so she can't see it. I think she's addicted to the high! LOL! I'm glad you guys had fun too!
On Friday we find out if we're having a boy or a girl. I'm really hoping for another girl (since we already have all the gear) and then I'll have someone to wear your dress again :) Hope you're having a great day! And thanks again
