Thank you so much... Many joyful congrats to you as well. The great thing is that you will have all of us here to support you - there is nothing more precious and fulfilling that to have a beautiful child who loves you regardless of the circumstances. Us women will all stick together! I was a single mom for 10 years, so I know how trying it can be day to day! Keep that chin up and it's all going to be just perfect. xoj

Hey Girl, thanks for the congrats. Your story made me cry because it is so much like mine. Yes, I still do have my husband and he has been the only strength I have. The day I told my parents that I was expecting, the very first thing my parents said was, 'Well, you're not going to keep it, are you!' My parents, their friends and even some of our church members ,'Just can't see why I don't get an abortion'. My family did the very same thing when I was pregnant with my little girl, Cora Rose.Only this time I'm 16.5 weeks pregnant with a kidney stone that is too big to pass, so the doctor put in a stint which hurts to no end. As for you nervousness on taking meds. during pregnancy, I feel the same so you can probably relate to how I feel because right now I have to take 500mg of hydrcodone, three times a day because of the pain. I'm new to Tn because we just moved from Ny and I haven't made any friends yet. Well, now that I've bored you to death, I'll tell you this, You will be in my prayers and try to take care of yourself. I know you can do anything, with God's help!

Thanks for your comment..congrats to you too! As for the antidepressants...I was taking them for about 6 years, but then got off them when trying to get pregnant (really bad withdrawal). I'm not on them anymore, but when I asked my dr about being on them...he says that there are ones that won't harm the baby and that it's better to have the mom be ok than depressed while pregnant. It's really just a personal choice...once I give birth I'm worried about postpartum depression, but I'll just take one day at a time. If you're really struggling with depression..antidepressants might be the way to go and don't feel bad for that. My mom was a single mom and I saw how hard it was for her, but now she has a great deal of support from me now that I'm older and your children will grow up to love you and offer you support throughout your life. God works in mysterious ways and this gift he has given you will serve a great purpose...just keep having faith and know that things happen for a reason. Keep strong and be happy...for yourself and your children =) Let me know how you're doing!

I am sorry to hear about your lose. I will pray. Please don't let the stress affect you. I know it is hard doing things without your own family support. But God gave us these blessings for a reason! You and your daughter have the SAME FACE! That's too much..

Tati - Monday, 30 Apr
Thank You =) Congrats on your pregnancy! No matter what the circumstances babies are always a blessing. When I read your page I instantly thought of what my mom always says to me “just when you think you have it bad in life, look behind you and there are always many others going through much worse”. I empathize with your situation with the baby daddy believe me. But I think you have your head on straight in not having expectations from that man. The only thing you can do now is pick yourself up, prove your family wrong, and move forward for you and your children. What can you gain by constantly thinking and dwelling on the past… nothing. Think positively. I know it’s hard it took me months of weeping, depression, and outright insanity to figure this out. I’m very happy to have found this site where woman like us share their experiences. Although I’m not local to you, you can always chat with me. We are here to support each other. May god bless you and your family! I’m very sorry for your loss. You’ve had a lot to endure but I have confidence that you’ll get through it =)

Hi. Thanks, and congrats on your pregnacy too. Your friends baby is precious and your kids are beautiful too. Try and be patient with your son. I'm having some issues with my 9 year old daughter as well. She just can't seem to understand that school is important. She only cares about her friends and what she wears and how her hair looks. Getting her to bring a book home to study is like pulling teeth. Anyway, my mother keeps telling me patience is key. I'm sorry to hear about your great-grandma. Hang in there and know that she's in a better place than we are. Maybe she'll be your gardian angel to get you through this pregnancy. It sounds like you were right to get rid of your baby's dad. I think you did the right thing even if it was the hardest thing to do. I hope you're able to find some friends in your area. You have one in Arkansas though if you need to talk. I'll pray for ya.
