I know what you mean about packing the bag. I'm sure I'll pack twice as much as what I need.... How many nights do you get to stay in the hospital? I thought I would stay just one, but when I toured the hospital on Wednesday, they said you stay 2 nights with a vaginal delivery and 3 nights with a c-sec. That's ok with me. Let someone wait on me one more day / night...

No period like cramping for me yet. The BH have kind of stopped... I've been fighting a cold for the past week as well. My hubby was kind enough to share it with me.... I'm feeling better now, but still coughing some.

I go to the doc tomorrow. Strep B test and routine belly measuring, weight, pee, etc.

Can't believe we're getting so freakin close now!!!!

I've had the shooting pains before, but nothing like this...I really thought he was coming out! I had my fists clenched and was squeezing the couch! Ha!
But nothing, still here. Maybe he changed his mind.
I can't blame him, I prob scared the sh*t out of him!
Have had some contractions since then, was up from 3:15 til 6am, but nothing constant.
well have to go to a baby shower today and then my grandpa's birthday party, so we'll see what happens!
Have a great day! Get a netti pot and rinse out some of that crap in your nose. You can get one at Walgreens for like $14-$15. It's just saline, but it helps. May help it go away faster.
Btw, working on that list you have also...may have to knock another one off tonight! Ha!

No, I didn't but we managed to spend all but about $95 of the Target gift cards this afternoon. We went out and bought the soothing center and everything else we will need to get started. Was just relaxing on the couch after dinner and got unbelievably strong pains in my crotch! I screamed out at the top of my lungs! I heard a pop, but no water yet. Gonna go rest just in case this is it...will keep you posted. Check your phone for a text in case it happens tonight!

Just checking in to see how things are going with you....
Finally got the crib, changing table and dresser all put in the nursery!!! Clothes washed and put away and bottles ready. Now we just need to pack the bag and put the carseat in....Are we really getting that close??? I don't know, I have a feeling she's not coming until a week after her due date.... we'll see. My doc doesn't start checking for dialation until 39 to 40 weeks - sucks! How about you? How are you feeling?

Have 37 more minutes. It's not really real yet. I'll prob cry when I go home. Yes they threw me a mini shower yesterday, balloons, flowers and the g.c. and tons of food! It was really nice!
I have tons of pix...just have to get them from camera to computer...I am huge! Don't worry. I really feel like i am busting at the seams! The whole area around my belly buttin is constantly sore. I just hold it and kinda push it in a little and it feels a lil better, but I can't walk around all day like that, I need my hands! Lol!
So Monday I have to totally hit the books! After the u/s that is. Todd is taking the dayoff tho so it's going to be hard with him there as a distraction.
Going to try and get those pix up by this weekend, I promise!

Good for you! Save the gc for diapers! Or when you're ready for the highchair, we're doing the same thing abou tthe highchair. Although mywork and someone who could not make the shower gave us a total of $250 in gc's for Target. Was thinkiong of buying the Soothing center there, but it's not on sale now! Figures! Wonder how long til it goes on again. I even tried looking at the highchairs there, but i really like the one I picked out at BRU...what should I do?
I hear ya on the pressure thing...dying right now! Didn't know the last month was this hard and painful! My nails are looking nice again too! HA!

I have been feeling real good, started feeling the baby move in the past few weeks. It feels weird sometimes, but it's nice to know he is alive in there...
I have the U/S tomorrow . I am doing the level 2, so hopefully everything will be fine with the baby.

Have you been getting any contractions? I have been getting tons of the BH and cramping a lot I dont' think she is gonna stay in the full 40 weeks but who knows she might be stubborn.

My doctor typically doesn't check to see if you are dialated until you are having contractions. I was having braxton hicks a few weeks ago, and my doctor was doing the strep B test, so I asked her to check my cervix then. Two weeks ago I was dialated to 1 and 30% effaced. But she won't be checking me again until I am having contractions. She said that the baby won't just fall out and your body will let you know if you are having contractions hard enough to go to the hospital. She said checking the cervix for dialation can cause pain, cramping, bleeding, and isn't necessary. But she said there isn't anything wrong with doctors checking you, that is just her stand on it.

Time flies when you're having fun, right? Ha! You feeling any better? I can't remember, were you dialated at all when you went to docs? I go tomorrow, can't wait!
We had our last Lamaze class last night and it was really nice. We saw the birthing suites and they showed us how everything works and the order of the procedures...kinda makes me feel better knowing (well kinda knowing) how it's all gonna go down.
Also can't wait to get our Soothing Center this weekend! Just received another gift card from a neighbor across the street from my mom's house cause she couldn't make it to shower...think we can get the Bjorn carrier now too!
I knwo my aunt is sending us a gift card also, so maybe we can get the highchair sooner than we expected too! So exciting! Lucas, we're ready for you!
Oh! And i promise to post pix by this weekend. I took them, just have to have time to upload and post.

how do you like medical coding? you have to go get your certificate at a technical college right? I'm going to keep working from home after the baby comes. If i do well, then i just won't go back to the regular work force til Emma Joy is in school. :)

Thank you so much for all you responses! I decided to tell everyone today at 10 weeks and 4 days. They are all very shocked and excited as I just gave birth 7 months ago! I read all your replies and I can't agree more that if something happens and no one knew I was pregnant then it would be really strange me being sad and they don't understand.. I would probably tell them then anyways. 2 weeks ago my sister in law offered me to try the new beer she bought I said no but she knows I like beer she was like TRY TRY!..ugh I took the bottle and pretended I drank some... lol it was awkward. So now everyone will find out today and I already keep getting so many Congratulations emails! It's fun!
