We are doing fine. Jayden is getting co cute now. Smiling and talking up a storm. He discovered that he can make sounds now....awe, he is super cute.

I asked my baby's pediatrician abt it and she said that it's okay to give him what am giving him right now as the melamine level is very low and almost negligible. She said not to be afraid at all...

yes, sometimes. you mean the month by month forum? why? So is Logan still eating every 2 1/2 hours? How much does he eat? Lucas eats about 4 oz, well at least breast milk, we are alternating every other bottle. When he has a formula bottle he eats anywhere from 3-4 oz. He's going ususallu at least 3 hours, on avg about 3 hrs 45 min between feedings, and at night between 4-6 1/2 hrs. Just wondering what's normal since we don't go back to dr for a month.
I read somewhere about 4oz every 4 hrs is normal but not sure how accurate that is and where I saw it.

Thanks for the info- it gives me hope!!!! I also hate giving her medicine so young- it just doesn't feel right. Also- have you tasted that stuff? It is not very pleasant. I just gave her her 1st dose of the day & she spit alot of it out. So much easier when hubby is here to help. I ask him- well, do you want to be the bastard that holds her down or the bastard that gives her the nasty stuff? Haha. Anyway- I pray that this goes away soon. Or at least tones down. She woke up @ 430 this am unable to breathe & cried til around 630. Nothing was making her happy no matter what I did or what position I had her in- omg i wanted to kill myself. Actually, I just wanted to sleep..lol.

Hi-we do have her bassinet inclined as well as the mattress. It is so weird, she seems to be breathing ok until 4:00 then the congestion gets SO BAD she cant breathe. Does this happen to your son? Who ever would have thought that congestion would be related to reflux? How long did it take for the Zantac to start working? Knock on wood, last night was better than the past few so I hope something is working. Your son is so cute!! Love those cheeks!! Happy Thanksgiving!

ok, i typed in "infant leg exercises and gas", then it gave me a list, about the 5th one down, it is rather interesting, cause they are talking about "bicycling" the legs, it works the gas out I think. Less painful for baby or something. Something about disminishing the cramps too.

That's so funny! He's a pretty smart kid if he understood you!
Isn't it crazy how they are so picky. Our 2 kinds of playtex bottles have 2 different nipples, just slightly different and Lucas prefers the one over the other (he plays with it in his mouth and chews on it) so I just use the kind he likes.
Glad to hear you finally have a working combo! The Good Start is expensive! Not sure it agrees with his belly either. He did have a normal poop finally though after having two bottles of it (after switching from the soy), so we'll see. The other one I want to try is the Target brand simialr to the Enfamil Gentelease, so we'll see how things go.
Ok, lil man is waking up hungry now...better go warm up his bottle!

yeah I agree, it seemed weird to me to, which is why I didn't do it at first. its sounded crazy to me. But no, there is nothing in there that would hurt him. I prefer things like that, as opposed to spending all this money...

The wide ones? Do you like them? Have you tried other styles to help Logan with the gas? I almost bought those to use for his formula bottles (using two different kinds so we don't confuse them) but found that the playtex ventaire had better reviews. We're using the playtex dropins and ventaire (same nipples). Just thought it may be worth mentioning, also curious as to what kind you were using since we just started using the ventaire.
Also, Lucas seems tobe doing well on the Similac advanced soy formula, he def didn't like the lactose free, going to try the nestle good start with comfort proteins (or whatever they're called) next. He gets some tummy aches and gas, but not too bad, but I guess it could be better and we won't know til we try otehrs.

I Need to upload more pics! Don't have much time on here these days. Having trouble keeping up the house and laundry and dinner and Lucas let alone playing on the computer. Going to start back on school tongiht. Going to work on it for 3-4 hours a night after we eat and Todd will take over taking care of Lucas. Hoping to finish by Jan 1! Is work getting any easier for you?
