It's a boy!!!! The ultrasound measured the baby to be due on 3/7/09, but my doctor is still keeping 3/12/09 as our due date.

mine never stops moving lol, morning, noon and night.i woke up at 3 dis mornin cos ma bloke aint bin v.well and surprise surprise bby was bootin me, think he or she kows wen daddy is awake cos wen daddy is asleep i dnt feel him boot me tht much. ma mum never suffered mornin sickness with any of us kids male and female. oh well.only 20 n half weeks to go really. its going to quick. i can see mine kickin wetha im sat dwn stood up or layin dwn, looks like he gna jump out of me lol he kicks me tht hard.dus any sells or tastes make u gag?xxx

Yah I had a scan already and they did it in 3d as well, yes very alieny. Cute though I could see that the baby looked like my little boy. Yah I forget everything too. When I had Jameson my water broke at the onset of labor so I had to be continually monitored, therefor I was practically strapped to the bed by all the monitors. Its due to the concern for cord prolapse, since his head wasn't engaged there is was the possibility of the chord becoming compressed or actually falling through the cervix, none of that happened but it's all about liability in the hospital. People are so sue happy these days they have to be. Yah Camarillo is two towns away, still very close. I really wanted a midwife, but with insurance an such it would have been a huge hassle to get my care transfered. Different healthcare system here. Are you eating like crazy? I just had a ridiculous lunch, I had a fish taco, small burrito and some pancakes with strawberries! It was spanned out over an hour or so and to be fair the pancakes were small and whole wheat, now I want to sleep. Ugh I feel like a cow...

Oh my god how funny I grew up in Ventura! I love it there, I moved to the LA area like 4 years ago (I'm in Burbank now), but I still go to Ventura all the time. It's my home. Yah the US in general does a lot of things stupidly. Oh well, it could be worse. So yah I had a scan right after that AFP test, and usually you get one in the very beginning to date the pregnancy and then at 20 or so weeks to look for any issues and to see the sex, but my doctor does one at 36 weeks as well to see the size/positioning. I don't think I'll spoil the surprise then, I wont even look!

I kind of think the reason I'm planning ahead for like labor and nursing is that I've been through it before. Like I didn't prep myself enough the first time mentally for what labor was really going to be like. So I didn't do as well as I could of, I was in shock by the pain and wasn't as confident in my abilities. Plus the hospital setting is harder to deal with regarding pain when you've got a monitor or device on practically every inch of your body. They treat it like a disease here, not a natural process. Oh yah I'm 5'6'' so a little shorter, the taller the better when it comes to weight gain. I'm the same too with where the fundus measures. I get concerned too since my son Jameson was so small (4lbs 7 oz.) he was a bit early though (37 weeks) all healthy though but tiny.

How exciting that you have your scan. I was so excited when I had mine. My bf claimed he could see nothing but I thought it was really clear. A massive difference from the last scan. The biggest thing that I noticed was the bones and the baby's back bone which you can really see on the scan. Have fun and let me know how it goes. I'm thinking of Ava Victoria for the baby's name but keep changing my mind. x

Ahh I wish I was going to Italy, thats the cool thing about Europe... you're just a hop away from all these amazing places. Yah I have Mexico...woo hoo.,, So I found out I have to actually wait a month for results, I guess in something like 42 other states they can find out the unofficial results in 3 days but not in California. Oh well I'm finally scheduling it for the beginning of November. The training here varies and depends on the route you go. We have the LVN (1 1/2 years). RN (3-4 years) and then the BSN (4-5 years). It's weird and can cost close to 100,000 if you want to do it quickly through a private school or closer to 10,000 if you do it through a community college, but that can take 3-4 years for what is considered a 2 year degree, then you have to go to a a state university for the BSN. Yah it's sort of complicated. Then there's all these waiting lists that can take you years to get in.

It's retarded here, they talk about nursing shortages but they can't seem to get it together when it comes to education. Yah it's about 50/50 here too with the practice and theory. I think is has to be, you learn the best when you are actually hands on with the patients. Anyways, hows the belly? Mines not too big yet, I've gained like 3-4 lbs. but I got fat in school the year before so I don't think I need to gain too much. I'm glad it's going to be a surprise but I really don't know what I'm having! I thought it was a girl then I'm like well it could totally be a boy. I'm going to go it without any pain medication for labor, so I'm reading all these books. Well I've blabbed long enough...

Everything is going really well for me, got a few aches and pains but nothing to complain about really. The one thing I do find difficult is getting comfy while sleeping as I keep waking up with pains in my hips when I lay on my side and I reckon that will only gets worse as I get fatter. You must be excited about the scan, I made the mistake of drinking too much water before I was wanted the baby to be moving this time and half way through the scan she said go take a wee so I can see the baby better as your bladder is massive!! Lol. I definitely recommend the bio oil or palmers butter they are both good but the bio oil is quite expensive as I bought a bottle two weeks ago and it's almost empty. My little girl is visibly growing by the day and she kicks alot in the evening. This week I've been trying to think of girls names that sound good in english and norwegian (for my bf's sake). Good luck with the scan next week.
