*Precious.Moments* - Wednesday, 23 July
yea noticed that when she was about 4 months old.. it used to crack me up cuz shed get a shocked look on her face and make a funny lil noise.maybe ill get brave and let hubby try it this evening.. i think what freaked me out about swimmin was i saw a story on the news about ''dry drowning'' a little boy got water on his lungs and nobody knew until he died.. he had drowned an hour after swimming i think since then ive been paranoid about letting her dunk her face.. but thx for the tips.. i just gotta get over my issues!

*Precious.Moments* - Wednesday, 23 July
Lol.. im not a great swimmer so im probably not gonna be the one to teach her when it does come time! .. cant even go under water without goggles or holdin my nose! Lol!.. but hubby is like a fish in the water.. hes been wantin to try goin under with her but im all freaked out that she wont hold her breath.. we do the same things as you do tho.. goin under up to our necks.. or tossin her in the air and catchin her in the water.. she really loves splashing in the pool.. and she likes dunkin her face when shes in her floatie.. id love to get one of those swimsuits that has the floaties in it.. i know they have some at wally world but i think at paddock pools they have the kind with the removable floaties so as they get a little more experienced you can gradually remove the floaties.. its supposed to help teach em how to stay afloat instead of giving em a ''crutch''.. anyways i appreciate your input!!.. i hope kekoa is doing well.. take care!

hey bri... i remember you sayin somethin about kekoa knowing (or almost knowing) how to doggie paddle... i remember you talking alot about tubby time.. well we have a pool and ive been trying to find someone that can help me teach my daughter to swim but the rates are ridiculous.. so i was wondering if you might could give me any pointers?... right now we keep her in her floatie and it has a little play area that fills with water and she dunks her face alot.. but she doesnt like spending too much time in it and when we hold her in the water she pushes away from us.. id really like to get an early start with her but i have no clue where to start

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to let you all know that I won't be on as much. Nothing is wrong, I just do better when I visit here every 4 days or so instead of everyday. We are well with the exception of my husband working 6 days a week and not having any family time. Today (sunday) is supposed to be our day together, but he's at work. I'm hoping he's feeling okay when he gets off and maybe if it's not too late, he, Mo, and I can go for a drive and then later him and I to a movie. Work is cool and I'm only one month away from starting school. I know what I want to be when I grow up....A TEACHER! I don't want to be a server when I'm 50. I only need 4 courses for my AA and then I can start my work for my BA in elementary education. I'M SCARED TO DEATH, but I know if it's meant to be, G-d will see to it. Mo is 7 months old now and is an official crawler! He only scoots every now and again. He was standing up in his crib this morning and I just about died! He was more on his toes, but it was so cute! Looks like he may be walking soon. I haven't breastfed in nearly a month and a half and it's odd, I do miss it. What a closeness Mo and I had while I was doing it. We still have that bond, but breastfeeding made it even more special. I haven't had a period in about 3 months now, but I did bleed for about a day and a half last month. I'm going to talk to my OB if I don't see a cycle once I hit the green pills on my BC. Of course I'm not pregnant, no signs whatsoever. And I know what they mean when they say, once you've been pregnant, you know instantly the next time you are. I took 2 tests over 2 months and of course BFN and I'm okay with that. I want to enjoy Mo for a little while longer. And this house just isn't big enough for another little one. Our stimulus check arrived on July 7th and it was SO NICE to finally receive it. Money was low and now we're on the high end once again and I'm hoping it stays that way for a bit. Well, let me go, my little man has been in his activity center long enough watching Baby Einstein. He's such a good boy...even if he does wake up at 2:45 in the AM and doesn't go down again til nearly 4AM! Oh I was MAD this AM because I was SO tired. I put him back in his crib because I was upset and a few minutes later hubby stepped in and took over. I didn't hear him again til 6am and I was okay with that. Got him a bottle and he fell asleep about 30 minutes later and we BOTH slept til nearly 8:30!
Hope all you guys are well. Be blessed and take care!

im a first time mom so im worrying about everything lol. thanks for the advice i appreciate it!! ill start putting her down when shes already asleep. i hope it works because i like to sleep by myself lol i dont even share a bed with my fiance thats how much i like to sleep alone lol

apilalas - Friday, 18 July
well when i feed her when shes hungry she only eats .5- 2 oz at a time..mostly 1oz tho. i pump so she gets breast milk. so feeding on demand is ok to do at her age?! at what age should she be rolling over? because she doesnt like tummy time so i dont want that to be delayed. and she wont sleep in her bassinet by herself, any suggestions?

That is just too adorable. Don't you just love it when they look with that utter love and trust at their daddies?

Hi, I just read about your son's gooey eyes and I know you're an avid breastfeeder, did you know breast milk can sometimes clear up a minor eye infection? Weirdly enough my Clem has also had gooey eyes a little bit today - comes back after wiped - so I've wiped them out with cool boiled water tonight and then dropped a fair bit of expressed breast milk in with a medicine dropper. Will see how he goes in the morning (if no good off to docs I guess but it's worth a try!).

Hi! I forgot to respond to an old post of yours about Kekoa and transitioning to the toddler room at daycare. I just wanted to let you know that Travis wasn't feeding himself at all and then all of a sudden he perfected the pincer grasp in about two days and is a great self feeder. I wouldn't worry as much about that as by a year he will definitely be ready to do that. I'm not quite sure how he'll do with one nap (Travis still takes 3 a day) but I guess they must adapt eventually. I don't quite understand why so many daycares move the babies up at 1, instead of closer to 18 months when a lot of babies do transtion to one long nap.

Your too nice bri... If I am half the mother yous eem to be I know I will be doing an excellent job. I don't have my space but I have facebook. do you?

Hello! I need some advise here. I've read that Kekoa didn't latch on until he was over two months old.. how did you do it until two months? I'm having same issue with my little girl, i think she might me too tiny to have the strength to latch on. I always first try with the breast, and after 45 mins of attempts i end up expressing and giving her breast milk through the bottle. But i'm soooo scared that she'll develop nipple confusion and prefer the bottle to the breast... please help! I don't know what to do!!!
