20 wk scan

Hi, had my 20 week scan, all looked ok and its ANOTHER BOY!!!! We are delighted, half way already!

All OK!- 6/11/08

Bleeding stopped at 14 weeks and all has been well since, mt 13 week scan was perfect and i've got my 20 wk scan in 2 weeks time. We will be finding out what we are having so its very exciting. Only thing is I'm HUGE!! Much bigger this time, ahh well at least everyone can tell that i'm pregnant! x

Still bleeding-31/8/08

I've been bleeding every day for the last 2 weeks now, i had another scan last tuesday and the baby is still fine but they can see where the bleeding is coming from. I've just got to keep my fingers crossed now x

OMG PREGNANT AGAIN!

I've just found out I'm pregnant again, my son is only 8 months old and i got Pg while breast feeding-so be warned! We are happy though, a small age gap is great for the kids, but possibly not for the parents! I had a small bleed at the weekend so had an early scan today, everything seemed ok and we saw the heart beat. I'm feeling very tired and sick, and very moody but also very excited! Lets hope its a girl this time!

Baby Oliver Edward has arrived 5/01/08!

Here is my birth story:

My pregnancy had been really straight forward, no morning sickness, no problems at all, i had it easy until the last 2 weeks. I first got a few stretch marks on my tummy -gutted with only 2 weeks to go but then developed a rash that seemed to start in the stretch marks that was very itchy. It turned out to be PUPPS a non harmful rash that normally develops in women expecting boys- somethig to do with the hormones i think! I then get a rash all over my arms and legs, it was so itchy i was awake all night- it drove me mad! I finally had enough when i was 3 days overdue so i rang the hospital and they told me to come in. The checked the baby and he was fine but my blood results showed i had an abnormal liver function and it turned out i had obstetric choleiostasis!!! This can v harmful for the baby so they booked me in for an induction- they were v busy so could only do it in 4 days time! They let me go home but i saw my doctor the nxt day who was not happy at all, he admitted me straight to hospital to be induced.

The woke me up early on the friday morning to monitor the baby and then gave me a pessary at 10.30 am to start contractions, it worked and by 3pm i was having irregular contractions. By 5pm i was having stronger contractions so they examined me- i was 2 cm dialated, during the exam my waters broke covering the midwife and swamping the room! I was really surprised how much there was! This kick started labour and i was immediately sent to labour ward. I was using a TENS machine and had pethedine for pain relief, bouncing on the birthing ball I was coping very well- watching TV between contractions. By 11pm on friday i was 5cm and by 1am on sat i was 8 cm. By 4am i was 9.5 cm and had more pethedine, i was starting to get really tired. BUT everything seemed to stop here! I did not dialate any further and the pain got too much (i think it was also due to being so tired) so i had an epidural. This helped with the pain but it completeley stopped the contractions! By 8am on sat morning nothing was happening still and i was losing it big time! The doctors came in and examined me- the said the baby was stuck and due to his heart reate decreasing slightly they decided to do an emergency C- section.

I was gutted because i had got to 9.5cm fairly easily but i was exhausted and there was no way i could continue on. My husband was there and Oliver was born at 10.41am, after a struggle to get him out, the doctor said that he was looking up, was back to back and even if i had got the head out, his shoulders would have got stuck!! He weighed 8lb12 oz so he was a good size too. The baby doctor checked him out because i had the obstetric choleostasis and thank goodness he was perfectly ok- scored 9 on the APGAR test.

I was in hospital for 5 days and was in serious pain from the c-section, i was really shocked how bad it was. Olly then had a temperature and was jaundiced but nothing serious so we went home the following Wed. We are now at home- having a wonderful time with Olly (except for the sleepless nights!).

ITS A BOY!!!!!

Me at 22 weeks!

Stay@HomeZOOkeepa - Thursday, 23 October
Hi, just read your post. I am huge too, it's my third. It'll happen because our uterus is familiar and stretched. You haven't felt your baby? I haven't either! That's my favorite part...should be soon. Are you excited to be having two little ones? Well just thought I would say hi, and I know what you mean. Good luck!

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi.
I am spotting as well, and I have spotted now with 3 of my pregnancies and delivered all healthy babies. This is my fifth pregnancy and I have 5 kids. I was the same for my first pregnancy I had no problems. I am worried to, I know that it might be nothing because I have had it before, but it is really bothering me. I go for my first u\s on the sept 16th and I am hoping for the best! I wanted to wish you Good Luck! and let you know your not alone. lol

CrazyButLuvable - Wednesday, 10 September
I'm actually feeling so awesome now. My morning sickness is gone *knocks on wood*. I only get icky feeling if I go 3 hours w/out eating. I'm having to do the 6 small meals a day instead of 3 meals a day. So I have to force myself to eat breakfast, do a mini snack, then I have lunch, do a mini snack, eat dinner and then another mini snack. :)

I hope your bleeding gets better. Thankfully I only bled that one day due to my body going wacko thinking I needed Aunt Flo. I go on the 26th to have my genetics ultrasound & can't wait to see my lil baby again.

melly belly - Wednesday, 10 September
wow! you felt moving at 15 weeks?! amazing. i am 15 weeks now and i actually thought i felt something last night while i was lying in bed- but it's just so hard to discern what you're feeling at this stage. everyone says later on, you'll KNOW! so i'm just going to be patient and stop trying to imagine things for now :) have you been bleeding this week? i found out i have placenta previa- low lying placenta partially covering my cervix. however, because i'm so early on, my doc thinks i have a chance of it moving upwards, and not having to be placed on full bed rest with a scheduled c-section! so i'm praying for movement!!! go, placenta, go!!!

melly belly - Wednesday, 3 September
thanks for your comment :) i am doing well, have an ultrasound in 15 minutes, yay! my doctor thinks i may have placenta previa, which would be causing my bleeding. if i do, then it's bedrest for the rest of the pregnancy, if not- then i'm good to go! she said there's no harming a healthy baby with a healthy placenta! that gets me off pelvic rest (yay for the hubs!) and into normal activity (yay for prenatal yoga!) have you heard anything new on what's causing yours?

CrazyButLuvable - Monday, 1 September
I just got home from mine & my husbands 1 year anniversary weekend get away & I couldn't be more tired. My legs are killing me from all the walking we did up at Arlington National Cemetery & boy am I nauseated. I actually ended up throwing up in the casino we were in last night in Charles Town, WV. I felt so horrible afterwords & kept apologize to my husband. :( If I don't eat every 2 hours my blood sugar drops & I get really sick where I'm about to puke. REALLLLLY sucks.

How are you feeling? And how was your labor day weekend? Any plans for tomorrow? Talk to you later!!

melly belly - Friday, 29 August
hey, i saw your note on bleeding- i've been having the same thing. you can check out my blogs for more details, but my docs keep saying that as long as you're not soaking pads and doubled over with cramping, you should be fine. apparantly 75% of 1st trimester bleeding is normal. that being said- i'm no doctor! i hope all goes well for you! keep us posted!

Alicia-n-baby - Thursday, 28 August
Gotcha - Well my mom is Identical....the other two sets of multiples are Fraternal!! Sooooo...eek!! lol

CrazyButLuvable - Monday, 25 August
I just got home from the doctors office. They did a ultrasound & my baby is WONDERFUL! :) They said my body is thinking I should be having a period so I was spotting a lil old blood & *knocks on wood* the bleeding is almost gone now (it's like a pale pink now). The baby's heartbeat was 169 & they gave me 5 new pictures & changed the due date yet again now to April 6th which puts me to 8 weeks. Thank you so much for message on my profile it meant alot. :)
