kater - Saturday, 25 October i read your response to my poll question about which food to start feeding baby first. what do you mean your baby wont be spoon fed? what age did you start weaning? my baby is just over 3 months, i am not thinking of starting any time soon, i just want to be prepared. i am figuring though, id prefer to start him on veggies, as i believe there is more nutrition in a bowl of broccoli than a bowl of rice cereal... what are your thoughts? thanks in advance, kate :)
BabyGonzales - Friday, 24 October Thank you! Yes I have and he just wont latch on. I do have an inverted nipples so Im sure thats why. I bought a nipple shield and that seemed to work at first but now he starting again where he doesnt want to latch.
BabyGonzales - Friday, 24 October Well my baby doesnt want to latch on so Ive been trying to pump but Im not getting enough milk for him. Ive heard of that herbal supplement and thought about trying it out. Have you used it before?
tawnsawyer - Tuesday, 21 October I DON'T REALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT "EC" IS... COULD YOU EXPLAIN IT TO ME A LITTE? IT SOUNDS INTERESTING!
camrynsmommy - Tuesday, 21 October i'm due the 6th, and i have no idea why he stripped my membranes! Maybe because I was already so effaced? He didn't say why...
mulan - Tuesday, 21 October See the problem is, Im at work during the day so his daddy doesnt feel like bein bothered with all that. he simply doesnt have the patience for it. So the proper way is only done when im there!
mulan - Tuesday, 21 October yes, he does wear diapers, pampers-stages. When i put him on a potty a say - psssss, psssss, psssss, psssss, pssss, lol!
kater - Tuesday, 21 October if only. i think the only people who should be advising others on breastfeeding are those who SUCCESSFULLY fed their own babies! i fed my daughter for 14 months, and i still have run into problems feeding my 3 month old (everythings smooth now) so even with that experience, i still needed help with some things, so how on earth is a person who gave up early going to support another woman to feed their baby as nature intended?
mulan - Tuesday, 21 October Oh yes he goes within 5 to 10 mins everytime i put him onthe potty. But i dont know how to tell when he needs to go any other time
kater - Tuesday, 21 October i think mothers who choose not to breastfeed, or give up because they arnt patient enough to give it a good enough go have a lot of guilt, so they pretend it was not their choice-bass the buck 'my doctor made me give it up...' i do find though, there are so many people (especially on this site) who really believe that bottles are as good/better than breastfeeding. its like wheelchairs-yes they can get you around, but they are not ideal. formula is the same in my book. a relative of mine recently had a baby, she wants to breastfeed, but because on my husbands side of the family never fed any of their babies, she has been given very bad advice, and is not supplementing her 5 week old son because they have convinced her that she doesnt make enough milk and that the quality is bad..... if youve never breastfed, how do you get off advising a 19 year old who doesnt know any better how best to feed their baby? ~excuse my venting, please, its just i do feel very passionate about breastfeeding!!~ i too agree 100% with co-sleeping, going to the baby when he needs me, attachment parenting... i believe when my kids need me, its my job to be there.
kater - Monday, 20 October hey i just read your comment on the breastfeeding poll and watched the link you posted. i am so glad im a breastfeeding mother!! i can see why mothers think its ok to put that horrible concoction into their babys bodys! i feel very strongly about breastfeeding, but i do find most of the women on here are indifferent, i even had one lady tell me that formula was superior to breastmilk!
femi - Wednesday, 8 October thanks, i'll try that site and pay extra close attention to her diapers. is that a sleepy wrap that you have your baby in? i love mine! and where did you get that beautiful picture taken with her on the bed sheets? she looks gorgeous!
femi - Wednesday, 8 October thanks for the link. i also found this one:http://www.mother-2-mother.com/reversecycling.htm
but i don't know if she is reverse cycling ... i mean, i think she might be, but she has started this thing where she'll sleep a four-hour stretch between 4:30pm and 8:30pm and i don't notice increased feedings at night. maybe she's feeding longer at each session and getting more that way?
lilmissk - Tuesday, 7 October Oh ok. Thanks for letting me know!!
lilmissk - Tuesday, 7 October Thanks for the swimming tip!
lilmissk - Tuesday, 7 October Oh ok. One final question... Do you work? I am asking because I wanted to know how effective this would be once I go back to work full-time. I will definitely research this some more!!
As for the sciatic nerve pain, I haven't felt it for about 5 days. My doctor said I should expect it to come back though.
