Aydansmommy - Wednesday, 30 July THANK YOU FOR THE ADVICE!
*Estrella* - Tuesday, 29 July Were in the smack dab middle of town. I would love to use cloth diapers cause i know in the long run we would save $$$ but as of right now we don't have a washer and dryer in our home we use coin operated ones...my set is up at hubby's parents house cause we don't have hook ups in our town home...it's a big pain! Plus my kids have super sensitive bums so i know cloth would deff. be the way to go with this little one...but for now it'll be disposables.
*Estrella* - Tuesday, 29 July I hear ya about the heat!!!!! I have a midwife appointment to day and i know she'll look at me like i'm crazy when i ask her to pretty please strip my membranes....only cause Ive been whole dead set on no interventions and what not. I told my co-worker yesterday i honestly don't think i have any shame at this point.... i could be in the middle of the mall with my kids screaming at me and hubby completely grumpy and if my water would just break i would have the biggest smile on my face!!!! I can remember a time i ever felt this grumpy.... i feel bad for anyone that has to deal with me...lol!!!

sowright - Monday, 28 July when the two soft side are together, sticky sides out, put T.P on top and botttom of the stickys. It will pass thru your presser foot much easier.(they do not go thru at the same rate of speed). I tried w/o and my rectangle turned out more to be a triangle when finished. Once sewn the T.P. pulls right out, then fold over and run one more seem. No leaks. Then turn inside out. I used velco as my closure, but zippers are great too. When the dipe is inside out and I ran the first seem thru, I trim away extra material in the leg area so that there is only about 1/4" left over, when I pull on the elstic to sew it on it gets way thinner and try and keep ii in the middle of the material not on the seem. The closer my stitch gets to the seem the more likely it will leak there. The edges roll in instead of out, i think it helps trap and control liquid to flow back into the soaker not out thru the leg. You can totally use a thicker elastic, I might try that too, see if it gives more protection. I have given a few dipes to some friends and the only leaky spots have been up thru the top (boys, there winkies pointed up and the dipe not to tight.) So i am trying to figure out that engineering problem. I think i might switch up my soakers a lil. More in front for the boys and more in the middle/back for the girls.
meecob - Monday, 28 July so I took your advice and saturday night I must have watched aprox. three hours worth of babies being born...yikes! I just wanted to wish you good luck, the big day is almost here - I can't wait to hear your story!! tell Finn Bob I said hi - hehehehehehe - my boyfriend and I had a good chuckle at that.
babybarbados - Monday, 28 July HALEY PAIGE IS HERE! SEE MY PAGE FOR THE WHOLE STORY AND PICTURES!
jennifaye - Monday, 28 July How did your reunion go?!!
sowright - Monday, 28 July When sewing wet bags, you need to add toilet paper between the PUL layers. It is really sticky, then pull the paper out when you are finished. It doesn't like to go thru the walker foot at the same pace. No serger needed. the less holes u put in your PUL the leak spots. I just got my order of Hemp cotton jersey and am trying thos out as soakers. I have been using 1/4" elastic on the seam allowance for the legs, when you fold the dipe inside out it makes a great leak gaurd. I will take some better pictures of the dipes i have made. I tweaked the pattern a bit to get the look i am going for. I'll inform u when I put them up, probly l8tr today. My next appointment is friday too! We think he is coming tomorrow, no signs of him yet but it is the 10 year anniversary of my husbands father dying. August 1 is a FULL SOLAR ELCIPSE AND A NEW MOON, so get your bags packed, that is a huge cosmic event! ooooh, the 10-12th of august are meteor showers.

amandasrsly - Thursday, 24 July we have this one for our little guy on the way, we have pics of it on our profile all set up, haha. i love it. the giraffes aren't too bad to me, but i guess it's different with every person. i don't know if you've tried out the music station yet but it's really neat...brad recorded a little lullaby for ayden that he sung and it plays back quite well. did yours have any defects or anything...one of the buttons to snap the changing table to the side was missing on ours.
