That is AWSOME!!!I can't wait to hear of your birth story. Honestly I was in so much pain that I do not remember the anestesiogist giving me the epidural.....a lot of people are like were you scared when you saw the needle and i was like no i never saw it and never felt it.....all i know is that after 60 seconds after supposingly getting it i was a happy camper.

Thx so much! I never knew I had options to be honest! I will talk to my Dr. next time I see her to ask her about it ! :)

You are very brave! I just read your birthing plan. I hope it works out for you the way you planned it. This is my second, and I just can't do it naturally. I'm a big sissy!

BamaBaby - Wednesday, 9 July
It only happens when i am pregnant...all these things that happen during pregnancy.....its like they just disappear once you have the baby and it is so weird. Your OB is NO denist so he has no idea about teeth except to tell you to go visit one. If it makes you feel better to go to the denist go but honestly after you have your baby EVERYTHING will go back to what it was before you were pregnant!!!!! Good Luck!

Thanks Big brother is loving it. He gets bored at the hospital but there is nothing I can do about that. I am going to see my baby tonite at the hospital I didnt get to see her yesterday she is 1 1/2 hours away. I had to come home to take care of somethings. I am going for a few hours and have to drive back home. Hopefully I can get a room the rest of the week so I dont have to leave her. Good luck keep me posted on your little one...Arleena

The tightening that I get when walking is all down low. And the 'breathtaking' is just sharp/shooting/stabbing pains that are breathtaking as in shocking/unexpected and very painful. I get some tightening at the top of my belly when I'm sitting down, but I usually just stretch out, take some deep breaths and relax, it usually goes away. I'll keep your tip in mind, as I'm sure I have a big-booty-baby. :) Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I was induced at 38 weeks with my first and I dont remember really having any contractions with her so this is all new to me!!! I cant believe we are almost there

sapphiregirl - Monday, 30 June
Yeah I had posted it before, but I was hospitalized 2 weeks ago due to some ovarian cysts, one burst but instead of bleeding out it incapsulated the blood and lil Triston thinks it is his own personal pillow/ punching bag lol. Oh well, as far as the date goes we love it, my husband's birthday is May 15 and mine is September 15 so he will be right smack dab in the middle lol

My sister in law is going to dodgeville. That's about an hour drive for me. Belleville (where i live) is about 10 min outta Verona. Right now i have medical assistance cause i'm in school full-time and hubby's insurance wont kick in till Aug. 1st. that'll be physicians plus. He used to have atna(sp?) with his old job which covers everything at the Madison birthing center. I was so ready to have that water birth but he needed to be more local with a baby on the way so with the job switch came the medical assistance, and the Madison birthing center only takes two people a quarter (what ever that is) with MA. so yeah maybe next time we decide to have a little one we'll save up to just pay outta pocket to have the birthing place we choose. But any ways on a brighter note...ready to have a baby yet????? I cant wait till summer classes are over on the 17th...after that i'm so going to want to have this baby!!!!! i feel like i cant grow any more!

Were delivering at Meriter. I had both my other kids there. This time around i have a midwife though vs. seeing and ob. I would have liked to have a home birth (but we are 28 min from the hospital...not ok if something were to need interventions) or gone to the Madison birthing center (in fitchburg, but insurance wont cover them) so yeah meriter for us. Going to rhythm and booms? I'm not sure if i'll be ok to handle the heat, but i would like to take my kids.

Good to hear the sterile thing is just in the movies now. Good on you for taking things into your own. Your body knows what to do and if you are not sure then you ask and give them permission to do what they need to. I think the key is feeling that we are in control of what happens to us and like you say, a good reason given if they think something needs to be done. Good on you. I am greatful that there are interventions that can happen if needed and that the doctors are there if needed but only if needed.

GoonieMomma--I am apologizing to you right now! I told you that you had 3 weeks before you were full-term, when you thought you only had 2 weeks until you were. I think I had read that in What to Expect When You're Expecting. Anyway, this morning, I was watching some A&E show about birth stories and there was an obstetrician who was talking about how the baby is considered full-term at 36 weeks. So I guess it varies a bit from one source to the next. I'm sorry!!!

Man i hate it when it gets like that outside!! We dont have a basement so it freaks me out even more. My kids were hiding out under the stair way (sorta a storage unit we have in our town house) while i was running back and forth to the t.v. and trying to get dinner ready. mean while my husband was driving up by portage at the time ( he drives truck for uw provision) so i was worried about him. All i can say is that i would be happy if it didnt rain for a bit around here! The storms never bugged me so much when i lived in Madison but now that were out a little ways ive become a lot more sensitive to them. On a brighter note where will you be delivering?

Shathon - Thursday, 26 June
under gigs they have two areas that would work. creative or talent maybe..... like your hiring some1.

mumofsix - Wednesday, 25 June
I must admit that I do find it sad when I read birth stories from the U.S, it seems there is a lot of unnessesary intervention. Sometimes the intervention is life saving but it seems more than not it is convenience for the Doc. We often laugh when we see birth on T.V in the U.S and everyone is gowned up and sterile for a vaginal birth??? Not sure if this is really what it is like but it does make me chuckle.... I really hope things can go how you want it and you get to have a say in what happens.
We can have the same happen in N.Z when under a specialist but if you get a midwife they are much more supportive. I happen to have a great midwife who treats birth as a natural process, not all are as good as her. She will not be silly and we will interviene if needed but only if needed.

kerry1983 - Wednesday, 25 June
haha well when yoou put it like that lol !!! i am glad you told me now so i dont have to panic so much about that now !!

Snugglebug - Wednesday, 25 June
Oh good! I was thinking about it, but I was wanting to see if anyone else would respond to say that she's a real person on here. I mean, she's obviously a real person, but that she wasn't just her to spam people. If those tracking cookies really did come from her, which I'm almost positive they did because I only went to my normal sites yesterday, other than her page, tracking cookies can contain malicious stuff. They can also be completely innocent and just tracking how many people visited that page, but I have a feeling it's more than that, since she posts it every couple of days, or at least once a week.
