chrissy-and-baby - Friday, 3 October I was reading on the breastfeeding website that you bought tea to help your milk supply. I'm not looking to increase(it's always a bonus though) but I am looking for an organic tea that is healthy for both of us. Please let me know how it works and how it tasts. Thanks :)
mandarae - Thursday, 2 October Well, my girls came on 9/25 (I was 33 weeks 3 days)... They are doing well, but it was unexpected. I have been pumping and doing good so far! For the first few days until my milk came in I was pumping every 2 hours during the day (per my nurse) and lately I have been every 3 hours during the day... and at least once during the night. What do you recommend I be doing? Tomorrow the girls will be a week old. Wanting to be sure I increase my milk with them! They are currently receiving my milk through tube feedings and one baby is completly off the IV, hoping the second will get her IV out tomorrow too! At least mommy can make em good food!! I have posted pics on my page

mommad - Wednesday, 1 October im also starting work next week w/a 2 mo old. my baby takes 3 oz right now.
katie22 - Tuesday, 30 September oh this photo is so cute. Your boys are so identical! congrats!
ozbaby - Tuesday, 30 September What gorgeous boys! They look identical to me. Well done breastfeesing twins. That is a accomplishment to be so proud of! They are sooooo cute.
mandarae - Tuesday, 23 September I have one on order! My aunt actually is buying my pump and pillow as a shower gift... I emailed her the link you gave me today! Awesome! I just realized the other day, man, I have no clue what I am in for, and what I need for supplies! I am 33 weeks today and if all is still going well with the girls, my Dr was discussing taking them @ 35-36 weeks. HOLY CRAP - the time sure flew!!!
I only breastfed my son for a week and wussed out... he had SO many constipation probs that I vowed if we ever had another child, I would breastfeed... well, here is another one, or rather two!!!
I really don't know what kind of advice I might be seeking from you in the future (if ok with you) but I am sure I will be needing it! I guess one of my questions right now, is what are the "essential" items needed to make this as easy as it can be for when they arrive. So far I have the pump and pillow ordered...
mandarae - Monday, 22 September Hey there! I got your name from another mama here at this site - I am 33 weeks pregnant with twins and have been trying to find someone with helpful info for me regarding breastfeeding, as I plan to do this with the girls. Would you mind if I asked you some questions? and btw - your boys are absolutely gorgeous!
thaynes54 - Sunday, 21 September I was just wondering at what age do you start giving your babies cereal in their bottles. Kylie is starting to eat 1-2oz and then hungry an hour later. She was eating almost 4 oz every 3-4 hours, now her pattern has completly changed. I have a week left before I go back to work and really need to get them on a set schedule. Sometimes they will eat at the same time and other times an hour apart. It really makes things hard through the night.
littlecavalier - Friday, 19 September Would you mind if i give your vip name to a mom expecting twins, she just posted on the breastfeeding site about it. She's a little nervous about being able to provide enough milk and since I've never breastfed twins I'm not very reassuring :-).
twinstwice - Wednesday, 17 September I added some photos
twinstwice - Wednesday, 17 September Your babes are growing so well that I wouldn't worry that you won't pump enough at work. I am sure it will be fine. Are you managing to get enough sleep? I can't believe you have fed them everytime! My DH or my mom have done the occasional feed with pumped milk so that I can have a little extra sleep - it has been so nice though I usually wake because of my breasts! Have you bottle fed at all? It may be something to start once a day so that they are used to it when they are in daycare. A friend of mine just went back to work and it took well over an hour of crying for her daughter to take the bottle since she was solely breastfed those first three months. Just a thought.
Things are pretty good for us. It is busy but my DH and my mom are still here, DH goes back to work the first of October and my mom leaves then but my in laws come then for a month so I will have help then too. My mom went home for a day today but we managed alright - we all went out for dinner! It was quick but it was reminiscent of a former life! Ha!
twinstwice - Sunday, 14 September Hey - sorry for the delay in writing back - I am sure you a twin mom understands!
Anyways, how is the feeding going? When do you go back to work? Do you plan to pump at work or are you trying to pump enough now to make a stock for when you are at work?
I only pump maybe once or twice a day at the most. I only pump if I have slept through a feed and my DH has bottle fed them my pumped milk. I can pump then about 10 oz or so in total. The other time I will pump is if the babes don't have a big feed so I can freeze some for another missed feed. Then it varies how much I get - probably around 3 oz give or take in total.
It sounds like you are making enough and your babes are growing well. Let me know how you are making out.
