im scheduled to deliver on july the 29th...its very normal to watch twins so close after 32 weeks...the bpps r to check their heart rates and to see if each baby is taking breaths and to measure the fluid around each baby,,,,after 32 weeks these 3 things can turn bad quickly because of cramped quarters....at 33 weeks sawyer weighed 4lbs 6oz and stone weighed 4 pounds 9 oz,,,,i will find out their weight again on the 25th...how r you holding up these days? i had a horrible night last night trying to sleep,,,,10 more days until the big day!!

wow, ya that might be why! You are a trooper. I cannot even imagine working full time at this stage. Its hard enough for me to keep up with my other kids, but I can at least put a movie on for them, or let them play at the park while I sit and rest for a bit. Have you been having any contractions yet? My bh have been more frequent and uncomfortable, and even though it excites me each time, I know they need to stay put a bit longer!

twinstwice - Friday, 18 July
Aren't US awful but wonderful at this stage? I can't stand being on my back - it makes me feel absolutely awful!!!! But it is fun to see them, though I have to say I have not had great techs this time around and they just whip through the scans and don't say much. I should have gone back to the clinic I went to last time but we have moved and I didn't feel like driving that far - how was I to know? At least at my last US the lady showed me their faces in 4D! That was cool, I felt like I had to name them that day since I had seen their faces. Oh - I think it is just one hour in total.

I have had menstrual like cramps too - bad enough to wake me up at night - but since they are not associated with contractions my doc wasn't worried.

So how excited are you to see these babes????

momof3plus2 - Friday, 18 July
I've had period like cramps for the past few weeks. When I first started getting them, they were so strong that I went to L&D to make sure everything was ok. They told me part of it was due to the pressure of having two in there, and the other part was because I needed to slow down and not to do so much (kinda hard with other kids at home)!

i read your post about having to have a c-section. I had twin daughters by c section and was 19 and completely on my own from the second i left the hospital. so dont worry too much, it is definately doable. lol, hard, but doable....just take it as easy as you can cause the more you over do it the longer the recovery will be. i was completely fine after a couple weeks. My house looked like a tornado ran through it but theres worse things that could happen than having a messy house for a couple of weeks, lol.

Hey - I thought the BPP is when the baby is rated out of 8 for movement, heart beat, breathing, and ? I can't remember the last one - maybe size. Each gets a score out of 2 for a total of 8. I thought they did it at every US? Maybe just here where I live. I wouldn't worry about it.

Hello, its nice reading your updates..and as far as breastfeeding goes , I feel the same way. And
your boys will have such a good start into our world if they keep up gaining weight so nicely...Have you been to a Non Stress TEst yet???
I wish you the very best...

I just read your story. Pretty neat. I have a feeling I'm having twins also. It is SoOoO weird, I've had this gut feeling since I first found out I was pregnant. And about the dog thing, a similar situation happened to me!!! Everytime my mom & step-dad go out of town, I go to their house and feed their dogs for them. Everytime I go in the pin with them, they look all depressed and sad, I guess because my mom is gone. My mom and step-dad went to Dallas in May. I went to feed brownie and gracie, and the second I walked in their dog pin, they BOTH ran up to me and was sniffing me, and begging for attention! I was like...HmMmM!!! I already had a feeling, I just knew I was pregnant, and this just confirmed it for me!!! I waited til a couple days before my missed period, and tested with the clearblue easy digital...and sure enough...it said PREGNANT!!!! It was so weird, bc I knew I was all along!!!
Congrats on the twins! I can't wait til I find out either way! I'm haven't gotten to see my reg. dr. yet, I'm hopin to soon!!!

 That is too cute!

Our scan went well - I posted on the 28 - 32 week. So for sure one is a boy and the other is looking like a girl though we aren't 100%. I also got a 4-D look at their faces - wow that sure makes them real! I really feel like I should pick out names now - now that I have seen their faces!

Two weeks ago one of them had dropped really low and it gave me a lot of pain (like menstrual cramps) and I could hardly sleep - I was so worried and wondered if I should go into the hospital but since I had a doc appt the next day I waited it out. In the end my cervix was still fine and I felt 100 times better the next day, and ever since they have been higher up again. Hopefully everything is ok for you.

I totally understand the laundry thing! My girls have so many clothes - all my girlfriends and relatives have had girls so we have tub fulls! I just got a bunch of boxes of boys clothes from one of my friends in my twin playgroup - it was fun to see the little sleepers - it actually got me excited!

I drove to walmart and grocery shopped with my son and father at 7 days post op. I drove and felt fine, My only problem was lying flat, then having to get up. I was totally fine around 4 weeks post op. best wishes

Wow your babes are doing well! I can't believe how big they are. My girls were 4 15 and 5 14 at 37 weeks when they were born! I have a scan tomorrow so I will hopefully find out how they are doing and how big they are.

8 lbs - that is an amazing goal! Are you having C-section or not? I can't believe how close it is getting.

Amberizzle - Sunday, 13 July
Everyone's experience is different, but my recovery was fantastic. I was walking before the nurses asked me to and went home early with my baby. The next day, I was getting up and doing laundry and such (slowly, but with very minimal discomfort). I was glued shut with surgical glue, so nothing was pulling, which made the pain very minimal. I was also on oxycodone, which I took two or three times a day and was fine. I imagine it'll be more difficult with twins (isn't everything?) but I was allowed to drive after two weeks and could have had sex when the bleeding stopped, but my boyfriend made me wait until four weeks anyway. Honestly, it totally depends on the surgeon and your body, but I had an absolutely fantastic experience. I'm sorry you won't get to deliver naturally, though. I know that must have meant a lot to you. :( Anyway, take care and let me know if you have any more questions!

mommyoftwo* - Saturday, 12 July
hey i hd a c-section with my first nd i thought the recovery was alot better then i exspected i think the only bad time i had is the first day after the surgery because i had to learn to walk agin lol but other then that it was great i was back to normal in a week and was even cleaning the house ( even though you arnt supost to ) i have my second one scedualed for the 29th, 17 more days YEAH and hoping that this one will be even better being its not an emergancy c-section. hope this helps alittle and if you have any questions plase ask. but also remember every one is diffrent and every one has a diffrent tolerance of pain soo????

charlotte74 - Friday, 11 July

Suzette - Sunday, 6 July
thank you!I hope all is well with you and your boys. we're doing fine. getting used to sleeping 3-4 hours at a time...:)

twinstwice - Sunday, 6 July
Thanks for your concern. It hasn't been so bad since I ate pretty good before so it wasn't too much of a change, and as you know, you can't eat too much at one sitting anyways.

You must be getting close to the end? Hard to believe, I am excited for all you, it really is special to have two little bundles to care for.

How have you been feeling the past few days? I had a few good nights of sleep so ended up being motivated to do a little work around the house, though not nearly as much as I need or want to do. Oh well, I try to do one or two little things every day and take it easy the rest of the time.

JessH - Saturday, 5 July
Good timing cause I just checked my page :) I actually started back a month after I had them. We had relocated and I hadnt worked for about 6 months (the last 5 months of my pregnancy and one month after I had them). I nurse in the morning around 5am or so. then I nurse or pump again around 8am right before I go to work. I pump around 1030,130, and then I nurse as soon as I get home around 5 pm. Depedinng on your output and what your babies eat at childcare you may need to pump more. In the beginning when your milk is first coming in if you could pump at least once a day every day until you go back to work you can build a great freezer stash which you may need later downn the line. I froze milk in 4oz and 6oz portions. Congrats!!you have a great goal of a year. I wish you luck! feel free to ask me anything else.
