I have a few questions im hoping some of you can help me out with.
1. Eloise is on 2 meals a day she now eats more mushed food rather than smooth. Do i now go onto 3 meals a day?
2. if i was to give her a lunch meal. what do i give her as an alternative to the normal meals you get in jars of make at home. she'll have cereal for breakfast and the rest of the bottle i used to make it. then have a bout 2 bottle inbetween then and tea, and sometimes a biscuit. for tea she would have a jar (there easier for me atm when she eats more ill make) of irish stew or pork and veg or veg medaley etc. and sometimes a desert, with some juice. then before bed a bottle of milk.
3. When did you all start giving your children things like vegetable sticks. ie cucumber sticks. She has a tooth. its not all the way through. She already eats rusks and berry bear biscuits
which brings me to my next question.
4. when did you all start brushing your childs teeth? Like i said she has one and possibley another soon its about 1/3 to 1/2 of the the through but im not sure if it would damage the gums.
all advice will be greatly appreciated. Cheers everyone. x
ihave6kids - Tuesday, 25 November i just posted some new pics i did on that photofunia site.take a look and tell me what you think.
SMiller - Tuesday, 25 November Hey ladies! I'm trying to do better about updating and with this site so I was just letting you all know I changed a few things and added a few new pictures, but again I have a bunch more on Myspace. HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GOOD THANKSGIVING
smurfwxmama - Monday, 24 November Hey you did it for months so your not a quitter, a quitter is someone who doesn't even try because she's afraid her boobs are gonna look funny afterwards! Trust me I've contemplated quitting a few times as well because I do hate the whole stressing and everything so I completely understand that one, I'm trying to see how it goes at the gym and what not, if I have a natural progression of decrease in the milk then I might just stop and deal with it, give hubby more of a chance to feed him and help out more so we'll see...what formula do you have her on? I got the Isomil cause you said that was the most like breastmilk so maybe I'll try him on that and see how he does to see if it's even an option, my luck he wont touch anything unless it's made by me!
smurfwxmama - Monday, 24 November Hmm that's odd, I got it for 4 mths...it does annoy me though cause I know it can only do the one side pump thing and the suction kinda sucks but now I'm not sure if that's right because I used it last when Ethan was only 6-7 wks so maybe my body is just used to the feel and it doesn't feel as hard anymore...who knows, but I think it's helping to get me empty better than mine does but I don't know for sure since it's the wkend and only used it a few times...I left it at home, so we'll see how it goes, I have it til march unless they ask for it back...not sure if my body is just used to being pumped every 3-4 hrs or what not but I was able to get pretty decent out of it this wkend.... So what are your plans for thanksgiving? Have you been able to get the breastfeeding back going? Started Ethan on some rice cereal and he's doing pretty good on it, just trying to figure out times to give it to him and what not, might give him some sweet potatoes or mashed potatoes for thanksgiving, we'll see...need to find a high chair I like first...Have a good week!
ihave6kids - Saturday, 22 November im pathathic....................the only lullibys i know are tv theme songs........
smurfwxmama - Friday, 21 November Well that is just annoying, they were closed this morning for training so I'm gonna have to go back today(friday) which is fine cause I have to go pick up his passport/visa so I'll just get it then, just hope it works a little bit better than I got now...I know when I used one in the hospital back in August there was a drop in my milk even though i was pumping every 4 hrs still but think that was cause I wasn't allowed to drink anything in the beginning...so we'll see. I looked at the paper they gave me on when to start foods and what not and it says there that he's supposed to be getting like 30-38 oz a day still so I'm not so concerned anymore, before I was freaking out, also talked to his girls at the cdc and they are going to try to settle him better before just feeding him, before they were feeding him every 2 hrs, but today it dropped back to 3-3 1/2 hrs so that's better. Started him on the rice cereal and he loves that, thought I was giving him his max right now but that paper says 3-6 tbsp and I give him 2 so I can up it some this wkend, can't wait to see if it helps him settle a little better....we'll see Have a good wkend!! What your plans for thanksgiving?
johna - Thursday, 20 November I know all to well how that goes. My hubby works all the time, so it's just me and the kids. There are nights I go to bed with the sink and the dish washer packed full. I can't stand it, but there is noway to get it all done sometimes! We are ok. we haven't been up very long here. I'm fixing to get breakfast started! YAY!
smurfwxmama - Thursday, 20 November Good lord my guy is chunky then! How is Evie doing now? Hope she's feeling better. Have you been able to get the breastfeeding back?? How does she do at the cdc? Ethan doesn't sleep much and I think that they feed him too much and don't try to soothe him at all, just if he's fussy then they feed him, they are feeding him every 2 hrs, and he's getting 5 oz in each bottle...at the doc the other day they said he should be getting like 20-24 oz a day but I have to bring them 4 bottles of 5 oz so not sure that's right...had to start him on cereal to see if that helps any or not, hopefully it will when they can start feeding it to him next week, he seems to like it so that's good. I want to keep him on that for a few weeks before I think about starting to add any other foods. I been working the night shift the last few weeks and love it! I get to pump whenever I want and I don't have to talk to anyone!! Ethan has been sleeping all night the last few nights, we're talkin like 11 hrs, he wakes up right bout the time I get home or a little after so that's helped a little not having to give a bottle at night but I'm going to Peds in the a.m. to get one of their pumps hopefully and see if that will help at all... How you been?
johna - Wednesday, 19 November Well I got a little house work done today. I will finish it tomorrow! I am tired! How are you guys today?
