mjerniga - Friday, 11 Jan In response to your question about Braxton Hicks-I have only had them about 3 times-it just feels like a little pressure (not painful) in your stomach-if you happen to touch where the baby is you will notice that it is a lot HARDER. Sometimes they happen due to repetitive motion or being dehydrated. Hope this helps!
teenMOMMIE - Friday, 11 Jan heyy. have you named your girl yett?
Utopianite - Tuesday, 8 Jan Laughing won't hurt you at all. Laughing releases endorphins that may even make your baby bigger and healthier. (It hasn't been proven yet, but babies with happier mothers do tend to have higher birth weights than those whos mothers were unhappy and depressed durring pregnancy.) Laughing, sneezing, and coughing are natural and aren't anything compared to lifting something heavy. So go ahead and enjoy yourself. Most people aren't lucky enough to work with people who make them laugh every day. :-)
nmck - Tuesday, 8 Jan Hey! You should definitely ask your doctor if it is a fibroid. They will remove my large one, but I need to lose about 50 pounds before they will do it. Since I didn't lose the weight, the doc said to try conceiving because removal can cause scar tissue that can be a problem. So, we stopped using BC, and got pregnant in 5 seconds! I have read that if they try to remove right after delivery, it can often result in hysterectomy. So, right now i am thinking about losing weight after the baby is born to have it removed before as econd baby. Now that I know what this pain is like, I certainly have incentive to lose weight!!
nmck - Monday, 7 Jan Hey Shellie- I guess the grass is always greener on the other side! I am also a plus sized girl, and hoped/expected that hardly anyone would know I was pregnant. (I am not sure why, because I am thrilled) But anyway, at 17 weeks, I look like I am 6 months pregnant! I guess I will blame it on it on my fibroid, but I know people will be asking me if it's twins.... Good Luck!
margysd - Monday, 7 Jan I have also been feeling like i hate food. I can not wait to be able to go on a diet once this pregnancy is through. I am hungry all of the time.
littleoneinalaska - Monday, 7 Jan I have had some cramping but not too much. and my bleeding is light and somewhat above light going back and forth. so dont know. yes i was surprised they didnt do a check down there also. see what happens. thanks
littleoneinalaska - Monday, 7 Jan Yeah I went in to the doctor today and they did get a positive pregnancy test. I have to go back on Tuesday to see if my hcg level goes up or done. more bleeding today and more red than pink. so frustrating and scary. I hope everything is okay. did you have any clots or little pieces of stuff or was it just bleeding. I have tiny little dark clots and not too much though. not too much cramping just alittle. the doc didn't check inside or anything just felt my belly. so dont know.
thebigtomato - Sunday, 6 Jan This is definitely something I have experienced. I felt it more a couple of weeks ago and now that I'm feeling the baby move more regularly, I am not noticing the weight of it as much anymore. Hope this helps.
padow - Sunday, 6 Jan Yeah, trouble sleeping lately. And I have been trying to remember to drink more during the day and less at night, so I won't be up as much. We'll see how that works--I don't think I am drinking enough water. I'll work on it, though. I still have a difficult time accepting all of this. And now that time seems to be going by faster, the less I feel prepared. I am probably just tired and (thus) overwhelmed. Lots of crazy thoughts! Hope you are doing well and that the next time you have an u/s, it will prove the tech's prediction! :)
padow - Sunday, 6 Jan Do you seem to be peeing more? For about a week now, I have! Maybe it's the position of the babe or something! How are you doing? Good, I hope no spotting and less feeling bad...I got another cold a few days ago so I have not slept good--going on night #3. I'm usually not up this late!
KariLynn - Saturday, 5 Jan Hello, Glad to hear you and baby are doing good despite the bleeding :) I have been doing pretty good myself, I start my 17th week today and can't believe it has been another week, time is flying by. I have a doctor appt on Monday and they are going to start measuring me I guess, I dont know how excited I am about that though lol. I guess I am just not sure what to expect. But I am very very excited for another appt and a chance to hear the hb again :) Hope you have a great weekend :)
nmck - Saturday, 5 Jan Hey! I read your post about your work attitude. I am a teacher, and usually love my job. My mind is so not on it right now! Thank goodness I have a nice bunch of kids this year. But I have no choice but to do my best, because my benefits kick butt. My husband's benefits stink! I am with you!
jamie2917 - Saturday, 5 Jan I love your story!! It made me cry! You and your baby girl are awesome!!! Our due dates are four days apart!!!! Anyway congrats!!!!
angelof08 - Friday, 4 Jan I was just saying the same thing to my husband about feeling 'heavy' down there. Only mine feels heavy in the morning right when I get up?? This morning I was walking on my treadmill and could really feel it! Weird. I've heard people talk about belly belts? Do you know anything about those? Take care!
KariLynn - Friday, 4 Jan Hello Shellie, I am not sure if you remember me, we exchanged a few messages and then all my messages got erased, and I could not for the life of me remember anyone screen names, but I just happened to come across yours again and thought that I would say hello and see how you were doing :) I hope you had a great holiday :)
bigbellyjess - Friday, 4 Jan i'm with you on that one!!!! I am three months pregnant on monday and I feel exhausted. I keep hoping my husband will start making more money because I want to stay at home... my back hurts like hell and I am not even big yet. my work performance has gone down big time... my boss is pretty awsome too. I live in Canada so health care is free but I want a private room with my benefits and I get maternity leave after I have the baby. the government pays people who work here 60% of their monthly income while they are on maternity for a year... I definitely can't loose that kind of cash while i'm at home with the baby. i just can't afford that luxury.
bethanne - Friday, 4 Jan Wow... I was reading your story and I came to tears... I can totally relate to alot of the pregnancy issues you have gone through... I just had a bleeding episode similar to yours only to discover a bouncing healthy baby doing just final I also have marginal previa. It has been a stressful couple of days it is so nice to know that I am not the only one going through this
padow - Thursday, 3 Jan Thanks so much!!! Like you, I am just now starting to think, 'yeah, I'm pg'...it's just not real to me yet. And then I worry if I am not 'bonding' with the baby! AND THEN...I look at other's photos and my belly just isn't as rounded and full. I just look chubbier, with a bigger bloat. Oh well....all for good, regardless. My DH encourages me so much and says that no matter what happens to have a baby, it doesn't matter. :) I wish you the best of luck and hope to hear from you often. I am hoping that everything is well and that you find out (for sure) what it is. I have appt on Jan 15, but not sure if it will be an u/s. I am still working on getting my pg updated and I need to scan and post my current u/s photos (6 and 9 wks). Fingers are crossed for your DH (pelvic rest!)-HA! Take care and keep in touch!
padow - Thursday, 3 Jan How are you feeling? I hope that things are going well for you today. I have similarities with you...the TTC, the not 'feeling pregnant' and not showing, stuff like that. Just wanted you to know that I hope things are well.
Utopianite - Thursday, 3 Jan I'm glad you're doing alright. I bled with pregnancies 2 and 3. I still had a 'period' of sorts until I was 4 or 5 months pregnant, and both of the babies turned out just fine. I'm sure you and your baby will be ok. You've made it this far, so maybe you'll be like I did the last time, and stop spotting soon. Sounds like you've got a pretty big baby already! I can't wait to see mine again. :-)
YolandaLee - Wednesday, 2 Jan Hi Shellie, congrats on ur pregnancy! I was wondering if u asked your doc about the leaking? I had the same thing (wet undies) and was concerned about leaking amniotic fluid. Sorry if TMI!!
Utopianite - Wednesday, 2 Jan You have placenta previa too? With my 3rd pregnancy it had corrected itself by 32 weeks, so I'm hoping that it will be the same this time. I really don't want to have a c-section. Hope you're doing alright!
nmck - Tuesday, 1 Jan Hey! Congratulations on your good ultrasound! Did you just find out it's a girl, or did you know? Great news!
Kristin1369 - Tuesday, 1 Jan Its funny how seeing that little baby on an u/s and hearing his hearbeat can make everything in the world that is bad disappear. Its so amazing. I just wish his Daddy could be there. But he's trying to better himself to be able to get all 3 of us in a better place. The u/s was just so amazing. My baby is so CUTE lol...in an alien kind of way. :)Good luck with your pregnancy...Im thinking maybe my hubby is just still in disbelief but we'll see...he seems exited and more of kind of scared than anything...he asked me last night what if he cant support me and a baby because he can barely support himself...and then he decided to go into the military just to be able to have a reliable job so...we'll see I guess. Its gonna be very new to him. He's adopted so he's got a bunch of worries about that one too.
