yes i know exactly what to tell you! first, you'll need a toothbrush, comfortable clothes, your fav food like a certain snack or something, socks, extra underwear, prolly an extra bra unless you have alot of breast pads, and your favorite soap! (thats just me tho i only shower with a certain soap and that is all) i wouldnt worry about any entertainment bc you'll be asleep or with the baby. hope this helps..

Hey Snugglebug, about the hospital bag question, here's what I'm bringing:
tiny newborn size clothes for baby, really comfy PJs for myself and slippers, homemade baby blanket, snacks for both me and my BF (since hospital can be icky) and of course my heartburn meds! hehe, can't go anywhere without them. What I didn't pack yet is my outfit to wear home from the hospital and I have to get a really warm bunting bag for baby since Nova Scotia weather is COLD!
Of course there will be other things that you may want to pack at the last minute, such as your camera... laptop, power cables etc. Between you and your partner I'm sure you'll manage to remember almost everything!!!

Message to all: In the last 2 years you all posted 1.1 million photos to the site, and that needs a little maintenance. We are currently renaming all photos from the personal photobooks in order to speed up the site. Some, or all your photos may not show while we are working on the photobooks. You don't have to do anything. We hope to have all photos sorted in about 24 hours from now. You can upload new photos to your photobook while the computer is working on your other photos. Thanks for reading.

I used Dreft with my daughter eleven years ago. All now makes a baby detergent and that is what I am using now for my son. It smells great, it even removed poly vi sol(vitamin with iron) drops from one of his sleepers with no pretreater (which are almost impossible to remove) and where I live, it is five dollars cheaper than Dreft.

jaydsmom - Friday, 5 December
Ivory Snow is also a good choice for detergent. My mom said it was the only thing my sensitive skin could handle as a baby.

CarolineS - Friday, 5 December
You can use anything that doesn't have a scent/dyes. Tide has one like this, and there is also All Free & Clear.

iampregnant - Friday, 5 December
I was told Ivory Snow ;)

cutelilsurprise - Friday, 5 December
Everyone that I talked to recommended Dreft also. So, I finally gave in and bought a bottle from Walmart. It is expensive, but seems like the bottle will last for quite awhile because you use such a small amount at a time.

Debra - Friday, 5 December
I used 'Ivory snow' for the first 8 weeks or so and then changed to our normal tide detergent. I find now that washing the clothes on a gentle cycle helps them to stand up to time. ALthough the first 5 months or so you will be going through sizes quickly. The cold gentle cycle does not remove poop or spit up stains very easily, and for the first few months you may need to wash on the hottest setting the clothes can tolerate. I usually had to pre-treat with a stain remover- which isn't great for baby's skin, but necessary to get all the bacteria out of the clothes. Downy also makes a 'sensitive skin' fabric softener which i like.

aprilmoon - Friday, 5 December
Honestly,i use the same detergent that i use to wash our clothes.I see no difference between Dreft and regular detergent.I'm sure Dreft is great too but for the same kind of work and less money,i like regular detergent. My daughter's skin is fine.I hope i helped!

lisarse - Friday, 5 December
I bought some baby soft purex, I actually used it myself a couple of years ago when I was working at a winter camp in northern Alberta. I used it because the industrial strength stuff at the camp was irritating my skin. It's hypoallergenic and smells baby fresh! I actually just bought some today :)

cjmc2577 - Friday, 5 December
i used ivory snow for all my baby clothes and blankets. anything She would have near her that could cause a rash.

bezzi44 - Friday, 5 December
I just use regular detergent. Well actually, we have a high efficency washer so we use Tide or Cheer. I've only used dreft if I had samples. Sensitive skin doesn't run in our family so I saw no need for it and haven't had any issues.
