sherk3 - Thursday, 14 Jun HONEY OHH OHH GOODNESS!!!! Did you know it is a federal law to let go of someone who is pregnant just because they are pregnant. I am sure you don't want to work for her now but I would still report her and the reasons she fired you. I hate to mention sue but you can sue her. Just ask her for a letter of terminiation really nice like and say you had to have a reason why you were terminated for another job placement or something. Hopefully she will put that on there. BUt anyway, please don't let her get away with that!!! I know alot about the laws so let me know if you need any help.
babylove4 - Tuesday, 12 Jun I say don't go for your last day tell her when she calls you your sick.(don't call her) She doesn't deserve it! I can't stand people like that. I'm so sorry. I think there is nothing wrong with unwed mothers. Come on it 2007. Honey you do what you have to do and I agree with you stuff like that is just plan old mean. She's not a nice person and if you ask me I wouldn't want someone like her around my children setting a bad example. I wish you the best!!!!!!!!!
EMY - Tuesday, 12 Jun I am sorry to hear about your job. God has plans for you and this job is not one of them. It may be tough financially for a while, but it will work out to your advantage. Depending on how you were paid, you would be able to file suit aginst her for wrongful discharge. So long as you can perform your daily duties, firing you due to pregnancy is unjust and illegal. I too as a Christian disagree with passing judgement. Stay positive and best of luck to your and your fiance
SherryD - Tuesday, 12 Jun Congratulations on the baby. You know according to the old wives tale you are having a boy. A heartbeat over 140 is a girl and anything lower is a boy. I don't put a lot of faith in it but it's fun to dream. I read your message on the 11 week board and I am shocked that your employer reacted like she did. I think it is so wrong for anyone to put their beliefs on anyone else. I don't know how she will sleep at night after letting you go as she did. If I were her even as a Christian I would be more concerned about the lesson I just taught my daughter. She just taught her daughter how not to be compassionate and how to place judgement on others, very bad Christian example. When I had my first daughter, I graduated high school 7 months pregnant. I had a wide range of reactions. The bad ones are hard to forget. Just remember that at the end of the day you and your baby are all that matters. At least with her letting you go you get to file for unemployment. That will give you time to find something else and to enjoy your pregnancy. Good luck!
kbgirl - Tuesday, 5 Jun
We are close to the same due date just wanted to say congrats!!!
muckluckmom - Sunday, 27 May Hi, I bet you are starting to pooch out a bit. Other people may not notice it but you know your body. If it feels different then it probably is sticking out a bit. Enjoy it. Before you know it your belly is going to be there for everyone to see.
Abbie - Monday, 14 May Congrats!! Glad everything went well. I too worry soooo much. I'm almost 9 weeks and I have my first Dr's appt next week. I had a cone biopsy done two years ago, and because of that I sometimes think I would end up having a miscarriage, but I hope and pray to God I won't. I love my baby already.
turtlequeen - Saturday, 12 May congrats and happy mothers day!!
Tjj - Thursday, 10 May Good Luck with your appointment today! My thoughts & prayers are with you & the baby!
yourquitethemommy2be - Sunday, 6 May CONGRATULATIONS!! I wouldn't worry to much about the discharge..I was very worried about that too in the beginning but it went away and the dr said there was nothing to worry about..it's actually old blood so it's good that it's leaving your body gross I know lol. Keep us updated after your appointment..good luck!
Jenn-Jenn - Sunday, 6 May Congratulations! I know what you mean about loving something so much that you have never even met... Once the baby starts moving and reacts to your daily routines (i.e. eating) it will really start to set in. I don't really know though, I am due in about 3.5 weeks and sometimes I feel like it is a dream!!
