bezzi44 - Wednesday, 10 December Oh man... no luck for you! OK, this is it. This is the bottom. From now on your luck will change and things will start to get better. I promise!!! Besides, they couldn't get any worse.
i-am-finally-preggo - Wednesday, 10 December I hear you. I was thinking the same thing about my family. They haven't come to see me since 2004, but they always expect me to come down to see them (I live 2 1/2 hours away). They got mad at me this Thanksgiving that I went to DC to see my friend and didn't tell them, but I don't care. It's about your comfort right now.
you can make it up to them after Christmas or next Christmas. people will simply have to understand.
you must allow yourself to not feel guilty and not be perfect right now, for the sake of your peace of mind, your blood pressure and the baby's health.
maybe there are things you can make, or are inexpensive if you REALLY feel bad about being empty handed.

bezzi44 - Sunday, 7 December Hey, I saw you had a question about eye color. Not sure what the conversation was behind it but if I remember my genetics right from school.... blue is the recessive gene so to have blue eyes, you need to get a blue gene from your mum and dad. Brown is dominant so you only need one brown gene from either parent. Green is on a different gene spot so usually it doesn't matter. My eyes were blue for a few years and then went green. BH's eyes were blue before going a hazel color. Our son has blue eyes. They may turn green/hazel but will never be brown since neither of us carry the gene. Our daughter will have the same blue and possibly green eyes. My other daughter (different dad) has brown eyes. She got the brown gene from dad, blue from me. So if she mates with someone with blue eyes, she could have a dark skinned, blue eye'd baby. =)
Laura Ward - Sunday, 7 December Message to all: This message is not intended for any one person, but a general statement to all members of the site. After hearing what you all think in regards to posting photos on the forums, we have modified the rules and ask that everyone familiarize yourself so that the site continues to remain friendly for everyone, including new members. In an effort to be respectful of all members of the site, we ask that members do not post more than ONE photo or video per person in the weekly, monthly and information forums. Your ONE picture should be small in size as well. Any large photos will be deleted. You are welcome to post as many pictures as you would like in the photo books, which were created for the purpose of sharing and viewing photos. You may also post as many blogs as you would like with photos in them. We understand that many members enjoy posting and viewing pictures on the forums, but this is not where they belong. We must keep the pictures on the boards to a minimum so that the written comments can continued to be written and read. Otherwise, the numerous amounts of large pictures squash the messages and they become missed. We ask that this modification be respected, therefore any member that continues to post numerous pictures a day will be deleted from the site. Thank you all for helping us keep the site friendly and welcoming for all members.
I hope that each of you have a blessed weekend!! Smile and try to let some sunshine shine through!!

i-am-finally-preggo - Wednesday, 3 December Hi honey I'm becoming quite aware that pregnancy is pain. I was up from 3:30 til 5 on Monday with BH contractions so I've been exhausted ever since.
As of this week, my hips have been killing me, and I have this new pain that goes from my hip and goes down to the middle of my left thigh. I've officially adopted the pregnant woman waddle.
We just have to get used to the pain.
Just relax about your blood pressure. Remember, babies are VERY resilient...babies are born under much worse pressure. Babies are born with their mothers taking drugs and all kinds of things, so a little high blood pressure isn't going to kill your child. And, the worry will make your blood pressure worse. It's very normal for mothers to worry and worry but we have to bear in mind that sometimes we worry needlessly. So just make sure to limit salt and get a little exercise in, and keep stress to an absolute minimum, and that's all you can do!
i-am-finally-preggo - Tuesday, 2 December all you can do is eliminate salt from your diet, get in some light exercise like brief walks and get lots of sleep. As for induction, they only do that if you develop pre-eclampsia that blows up into full blown eclapmsia. Pre eclampsia is the high b/p PLUS protein in your urine. So you're still ok if you don't have too much protein in your urine. If you develop pre eclampsia and it gets bad, they'll first put you on bed rest or hospitalize you to make sure you're very still, and they'll try to bring the b/p down with medication. If the medication doesn't work, THEN they induce.
So don't worry about it yet...especially since worry will raise your b/p. Just relax as much as possible.
Have a great day!
Beauti - Monday, 1 December MyHotComments Have a great week Ladies!!

Kitty210704 - Sunday, 30 November IM IN LABOR EVERYONE!! Sitting her with the epidural and im nice and relaxed!! she is a few weeks early but who cares, Im dying to meet her!! I started contractions late last night and didnt get a wink of sleep but its all good... I'll be able to meet my little girl today. I will keep you all posted!!
** hugs**
larkspur69 - Sunday, 30 November I'm doing well.....I don't think I've suffered as much as some pregnancies!! (Lots of mums seem to be drained, headachey, pukey, etc. etc) My biggest complaint is water retention which hits esp. at night when the carpal tunnel syndrome strikes making both hands ache with numbness. I've got that covered with wrist splints which make it super tolerable. I'm excited and scared!! The nursery is almost complete, and it's my room to go read baby books in now!! The dogs know "something" is up!!!
bezzi44 - Sunday, 30 November Hang in there! As far as the pain goes, no one has died from it and it's perfectly OK to ask for pain meds!
