im back to work since last week and i am still breastfeeding, i feed her before i go to work at 6am, then at 10am my first break, then at 12pm and at 4:30 when im back and at 8:30pm, its hard because I dont have a lot of time for pumping at work but as you say I feel that if I stop i will be loosing bonding moment with my baby. try it and see if it works...........

Sorry, I am just now responding, been a little crazy here. You can ask me as many questions as you want. I do NOT mind.
Yes, I give him just formula for a feeding. I usually pump 9oz a day. So, for the first two feedings a day I give him 4oz of pure breast milk. Then the rest of the day it is formula. Then through out the day I pump and store the milk for the next day. To me some is better than none. It is a lot of work, but I have the time to do it.
That is so AWESOME about baby Drew! What a BIG boy!!
How are you doing?? When do you go back to work? Did Steph mail you those pills?

Saw your post on the episiotomy site and I will tell you that hubby was not very nice and kept getting me in the mood at like not even 2 weeks after, and yeah it hurt but it goes away after you heal some more and what not by the time 6 wks came around I got my birth control and hubby was happy he didn't have to keep pulling out. Basically I'm saying if you think your ready it doesn't hurt to try if you want to, 6 wks is a good guideline but it's not written in stone. Just make sure hubby gets you good and worked up, the lubrication will help a lot, good luck!

I'm good, just tired, ready, getting stronger BH contractions or the start of the real ones. I don't know. Either way, I'm down to 3 wks 6 days till the due date! YAY!

When you are done feeding or pumping Squeeze your nipple to express a little bit of milk and rub that on your nipple and let it dry. That will heal your nipple and prevent the cracking and bleeding. It's nature's best cream nothing on the market will give you a better result. And it's natural you don't have to worry about wiping it down.

Are you giving your baby pumped milk in a bottle? If so, this may be why your production is low. Try pumping between feedings but freeze it for later use when you go back to work not now. continue feeding your baby from the breast only. This should increase your supply.

Howdy! We're FINALLY on somewhat of a schedule now with Zack's feedings, and it's working great! I'm mostly breastfeeding, but supplement 2.5 oz. of formula after his first morning feed (around 8-9am) and again after his last feed before bedtime (around 8-10pm). I usually only have to get up twice a night now to feed him - it's awesome! It's seems to be working, too... we weighed him yesterday, and he's up to 9 lbs, a gain of 6 oz. from last week (normal is 6-8 oz a week I believe).

I don't think a whole night's sleep is in the cards for us right now - my boobs are screaming sore after 4+ hours without a feed. Even if he did sleep, I'd have to get up to pump! I'm taking some Domperidone to increase my milk - it seems to do the trick. I probably wouldn't have to do the formula anymore, only it gives me a bit of a break from constant breastfeeding (he'd go every 1-2 hours otherwise).

I can't believe Zack's already 5 weeks old! I put up some 5 week pics if you want to check him out... he's looking like a real baby now, not a newborn. Scary!
