Hey girl! You just need to do what you feel is best for Drew. The herbs helped me and I give Presley about 9oz a day of Breast milk. Then I give him formula too. I don't mix it together. I just pump and put it in the fridge. That is what works for me. You just have to figure out what is best for you. I have heard that pumping while working too can be very difficult, so formula only might be better. Just pray about it. I will always be here for you and help you stay positive. I am only doing this breast milk thing until he is 12 weeks. I am so sick of pumping and taking all these herbs. I have put a lot of work into this and I am way too committed to just give it up, but my schedule allows me to dedicate this time to it. So, you need to really see what works for you. If you are getting all stressed out about it that is not good. Regardless of what you do Drew is going to be a wonderfully happy and healthy!! :) He has an amazing mom! Just keep telling yourself that!

Your tail bone is still hurting!!! Have you spoke to your doctor about this?? I can only imagine how that must hurt you. Please call your doctor if you haven't already.

Hello! I posted this on the Breastfeeding Forum for you but didn't know if you would be checking back there so I'll send it to you again.

Babystanton ~ I have been back to work for 2 months now and I still pump. I don't produce enough for him for the whole day so I do need to supplement with formula. Thankfully for us Riley has never minded drinking from a bottle or taking breastmilk or formula. I have also been finding that the last couple of weeks my supply has been getting less and less. I used to have enough for him on the weekends when I'm not working, now I too need to give a couple bottles of formula. Its very very frustrating and disappointing thinking that I can't provide enough for him. Some days I only get about 7 oz total and I wonder if its worth all the trouble. But it is! There is nothing better than Momma's Milk, even if its just a little bit! Try not to get discouraged and keep with it.

Hello. Just responding to your episiotimy question. I had one and I didn't have any problems afterward when we had sex. It felt different at first, but it didn't hurt. I did let mine fully heal, the recommended 6 weeks, so that may be the difference. I guess everyone is different, but hopefully you won't have that problem. That's about the same position we are in. I know we need 2 incomes but I know it is going to be soooo hard to leave the baby even if it is with family. I am so glad your staying positive and I know great things will come your way. How's baby Drew doing? Is he gaining weight?

I'm sure everything will be fine. As for supply, usually there is a complication early on that decreases supply. Once you had been exculsively breastfeeding for a while your supply should regulate on it's own. Only a small small percentage of women actually have supply problems later on if they are eating right and feeding exculsively. I'm sure once you get the boost you will be fine. As for the work thing. Maybe you can find something near you. It makes my day to be able to meet my son for "lunch".

I think I started to notice a difference within a week but I was on it for about four months before I had confidence that my supply wouldn't go down. Now I haven't had any for several months and we are fine and Kekoa is still gaining weight. As for going back to work, that's so hard. I cried the first week every time I left him or thought about him while at work. Now it's ok but I still would rather be home with him. I visit him everyday at lunch and breastfeed him lunch too. So right now I only go four hours at the most without him. I does help to have a daycare that is only a few blocks away.

Hi there! Just read your comment under breast feeding. I have the same problem. My son is two weeks old and is an excellent nurser, but I'm not producing enough milk. I'm sad too. I started taking fenugreek last week and pumping but haven't seen any improvement yet. My doctor just prescribed me something to help. So my fingers are crossed. I'm supplementing with formula so he can gain some weight. I'm going to give it another 4 weeks. Keep trying!

Hi Martine! How's the tailbone these days? Mine is starting to kill me now - it's from too much sitting while breastfeeding, I think. Also, my neck has started to develop a kink from spending too much time gazing at Zack while I feed him, hehe. Who knew that motherhood had physical challenges beyond pregnancy?? Pretty funny, really.

Zack already seems to be growing so fast... gone is the little red wrinkled newborn, and in his place is a chubby-cheeked little baby! My heart melts every time I hold him... wish he'd nap longer than 15 minutes during the day, though - I need some catch-up sleep!

We are definetly going to take Lamaze classes. How far along were you when you took the classes. I am almost 18 weeks now and I dont know when I should start signing up for all the classes? I love the picture you put of your little man smiling. How adorable is that. Im sure he is dreaming of his mommy (hee hee). Hey! Sorry, I just now saw your post on my blog. Go to your local vitamin shop and buy Fenugreek and Blessed Thistle in the herb section. Take 3 capsules 3 times a day of each supplement. Also if you pump directly after Drew had breast fed that will help too! These are all tps my lactation specialist gave me.
