Message to all: In the last 2 years you all posted 1.1 million photos to the site, and that needs a little maintenance. We are currently renaming all photos from the personal photobooks in order to speed up the site. Some, or all your photos may not show while we are working on the photobooks. You don't have to do anything. We hope to have all photos sorted in about 24 hours from now. You can upload new photos to your photobook while the computer is working on your other photos. It went fine jus didnt get the news i wanted to get but overall it was ok... she said tht i was still 3cm dialated and tht if i dont delivery before Dec 15 she is going to induce me on the 15th cause of all the contractions im having... Would u by ne chances know wht they do when they induce u, my first child i didnt had to do tht i had him naturally... but thanks for asking....

That is what I thought. I was so excited to get checked. Then, nope. I just rescheduled my appiontment with an MD next week. I didn't ask for a midwife. The hospital assigned me one. If I was high risk I would get an OB. They say that midwives are supposed to be more gentle and more emotionally supportive. But I really haven't seen much of a difference between the midwife and a Dr. If I wanted to do a homebirth, or do it at a non hospital birthing center then I get a midwife. Some people are scared of Drs. so they go that route. I don't really mind it either way.

The group of midwives I am seeing are a around 8 or so.. I see a diff. one at every visit.. then I started to see a repeat.. Who ever is on call that night or when ever the babe comes I will have met a few times.. I guess the power of many... They also just deliver babies.. and are more inclined for natural births rather than scheduling a c section.. Well They wouldn't even do a c section.. There will be a doc around if they need them when I am at the hospital.. Theres never a problem getting an appt. either because I can go to whoever is working that day and time and feel good about it.. At the OBGYN I had been going to before I switched, my doc was really hard to see and I saw the nurse practioner once and didn't like her... Plus the office had a really bad payment schedule.. like I would have had to pay for the birth up front at like 20 weeks!! UHHH NO! I don't think so.

Oh, my goodness with the castor oil! I am with you on that one! Why is everyone rushing. I would be worried about the effects on the babies, it's not just you taking it, your baby is too! I am getting tired of seeing coments on taking castor oil. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

My midwives have not measured me at all.. I might ask them to this next appt. You want to be induced? I heard that it hurts more.. maybe just have them break your h2o if it doesn't go on it's own..

Your so lucky! I wish my midwife would check my freakin cervix! She said she won't until I am in labor...Im 38 weeks now! I have contractions all the time!

nope. i tried it a few days ago and just threw up and got diarrhea. but most people say it only works if you are at or close to your due date. i might try again on my due date if nothing is happening.

Hi babytauri- I not sure the reason for others wanting to induce but the reason for me is....I'm trying to induce naturally so that I can have her come before 40 weeks. I have had three of my friends that had babies in November. All two where two weeks late and the third almost two weeks passed due date. All three had to be induced with Pitocin and two went from induction to C-section. I do not want to be induced medically because I’ve planned a natural birth which will start at home with my doula and at contraction 3minutes apart I will go to hospital and do not want any intervention. I have started on Raspberry Tea to strengthen uterus muscles and primrose to soften cervix. I’m now working on very light nipple stimulation to soften cervix a bit more. I don't believe the old saying that the baby knows when to come, because so many people I know are not having their babies on time and they are getting unnecessary c-sections.

well hopefully by saturday i would have dialated some too.. cuz my back lately has been aching so bad.. i was wondering about those contractions like how would you know.. well im glad you'll get to see and hold Tauri sooner than you thought.. im crossing my fingers for me too.

yea he is big.. i still cant get over it.. but you're already dialating.. im jealous only because i want Terrin to come before xmas.. i just dont think he will. hopefully i will have changed by saturday my next appt. if im dialating by then great! so now are you nervouse because its like you're almost there

Ohhhh, I was worried something was wrong... Thank goodness thats not the case. So you are having another ultrasound to make sure she is big enough? I worry about them getting their dates wrong and babies coming out premature...I'm sure he knows exactly what he is doing and as long as she is healthy!! WOW thats really soon!!!!!!!!
