Message to all: This message is not intended for any one person, but a general statement to all members of the site. After hearing what you all think in regards to posting photos on the forums, we have modified the rules and ask that everyone familiarize yourself so that the site continues to remain friendly for everyone, including new members. In an effort to be respectful of all members of the site, we ask that members do not post more than ONE photo or video per person in the weekly, monthly and information forums. Your ONE picture should be small in size as well. Any large photos will be deleted. You are welcome to post as many pictures as you would like in the photo books, which were created for the purpose of sharing and viewing photos. You may also post as many blogs as you would like with photos in them. We understand that many members enjoy posting and viewing pictures on the forums, but this is not where they belong. We must keep the pictures on the boards to a minimum so that the written comments can continued to be written and read. Otherwise, the numerous amounts of large pictures squash the messages and they become missed. We ask that this modification be respected, therefore any member that continues to post numerous pictures a day will be deleted from the site. Thank you all for helping us keep the site friendly and welcoming for all members.

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Sx

If it were only that simple. I keep trying to drill that same point home, but men are so stupid they dont think. They think we are overacting nad that is is no big deal .it is not big deal because they dont care about it, but let us forget to give them some or something and the world hs all of a sudden stopped spinning!

Oh he did this for me because he has me sed up so many times! lol he still has a long way to go. I am mad at him now and just sent him some real nice "hate" mail. lol

Do you think he would care if you did not hting for hi, so he would know how it feels? Have you told him that you were lonely on your birthday?

I wish we had a dictionary that translated how we felt into guy talk so they could understand.

phonics - Sunday, 14 September
I am so sorry he did that to you. I would be so upset. You may not be his mother, but you are a mother and to HIS child. Mother's Day is to appreciate all mothers not just your own and he should be happy you arw the mother of his child.

This is a lot better than what he did last year so he is learning I must say though. I just have no idea what he might want.

Did he at least apologize for forgetting and try to make it up to you? I know one man loved his wife dearly, but just was not into those type things so would just forget. He started just giving her a shopping spree or jewelry on either occasion to make her feel special. He said that she was hil life and meant everything to him so to celebrate just one special day with the woman who he planned on spending the rest of his life with was not right. That he cherrished every single day not just one. And what was one stupid anniversary when you are looking at 50 more?

I warm Edyn's bottles under hot tap water until it's room temp or warm. I used a bottle warmer (the one I have has a setting for the drop-ins) but it takes much longer. I set a cup in the sink (usually a coffee cup, they hold heat better) and put her bottle in it with the water pouring into it since the cold bottle cools the water pretty quickly. Every 10 seconds I shake it. It takes less than 3 minutes usually. I'm so happy you found something that works for you. We've switched formulas and now she's on Levsin for her colic. The sound of crying was almost unnoticable after a while. People would say, "she's crying so loud", and I'd say, "really?". Now we actually get sleep and are almost on a schedule of some sort. Again, I am SO happy for you!!

We use an Oxo 2 cup measuring cup and fill it with scalding hot water and the playtex "designer" bottles fit in it perfectly. Before we discovered the perfect fit, we just used a bowl in the sink and let the bottle float for 3 - 5 minutes depending on how cold it was and how hot the water was. The only issue that I have is that it is almost impossible for me to find a hot water tap when we are out in public. It seems like everyone has the automatic faucets that come out at a mildly warm temperature. :) I haven't tried a bottle warmer, although I'd like to know if they work - especially the ones that plug into the car as that is about the only time I can't warm her bottles...

(I copied and pasted this from a link I found, hope it helps. If you do not want to use sugar you cna just increase she water intake! Like inbetween feeds make sure you get some water down her a few times a day every day)A remedy for constipation that has been around for centuries and still recommended today is to add some form of sugar to a baby’s diet. The sugar works by drawing additional fluid into baby’s bowel to soften the stools. Sugar can come from fruit, in the form of fructose or sorbitol or sucrose from sugar cane.
It’s commonly recommended to add sugar (particularly brown sugar) or corn syrup (Karo) to baby’s formula. Rather than do this, I suggest you offer it in a small amount of cooled boiled water for two reasons…
The additional water is helpful, and
If baby becomes accustomed to drinking the sweetened formula he may fuss with feeding once the sugar or corn syrup is stopped.Brown Sugar
Add ½ teaspoon of brown sugar (the one used for cooking) to 1 oz of cooled, boiled water.
Offer this to baby 3 times a day, directly before formula feeds, only until he passes a soft stool.
Karo syrup
Corn syrup is a mildly sweet, concentrated solution of sugars derived from corn starch. A common brand is

I have been 2cm and %80 effcaed 2 weeks now. Everyone is different. With my first born, I went to the dr and she told me I was 2 cm, and THAT DAY I delivered. It all depends on your body and that lil bundle of joy :)

hello, i'm taking oral meds for my gestational diabetes as well. it seems like my last weeks have been out of control. For instance, i forgot to take my meds this morning and had 3 slices of whole wheat cinamon whirl bread with butter. i checked it 2 hours later and my blood sugar was 222! oops! i guess i'm not eating that anymore!

I know - nightmare, right? Good luck finding the right one for you. I've heard that sometime in August Chicco will come out with a replacement. But I'm too impatient so I'm getting a Graco Quattro Travel System.

charlestongurl - Saturday, 28 June
im doing the same thing you are... breastfeeding for 6 weeks then I have to go back to work...
they say that thats all you really need for the benefit of breastfeeding... im only worried i wont be able to breastfeed... ive heard it is painful! a friend of mine couldnt do it... but i also figure i will just tough it out as much as i can!!

Good luck!!

AndreaB - Saturday, 28 June
Whoa! I just read on your profile notes that you are looking into a car seat and considering Chicco. I had registered for that but learned they were recalled b/c they EJECT the child from the seat on impact. Babies R US actually automatically removed it from my registry which is how I learned about it. I would steer clear of that car seat - no pun intended.

AndreaB - Saturday, 28 June
I've heard any amount of breast feeding you do is good for the baby. Especially the colostrum which baby gets in the initial feedings. Apparently it helps with antibodies (from you to her) and nutrition for whatever amount of time you and she are able to tolerate. Good luck!

babyBrendon - Saturday, 28 June
Hello. my sister was only able to breast feed for a month and although of course the longer you do it the better her doctor said that the baby was still getting wonderful things from her at such an important time. i think its wonderful that you are thinking of breastfeeding. its definately worth it. i also think its great for those first few weeks because you can have that closer bond with her. btw my sisters daughter that i was talking about is also named Rylee...she spells it that exact way! good luck with no matter what you decide.

jekajoy - Saturday, 28 June
About the breastfeeding...have you thought of pumping and freezing the breast milk rather than switching to formula? It's much healthier for the baby and free :-) save all the money you can with this rising gas prices!

But seriously, six weeks is better than nothing, but they generally suggest 6 months to a year. I am going to try to breast feed atleast 3-6 months. I have to go back to work like 2 weeks after the baby, so I'll be pumping and freezing as well.
