Jenism - Wednesday, 10 December Hey I am in same boat as you. I am starting to feel so down, and want to do something with other moms... let me know if you find anything that works
lilmamma - Wednesday, 10 December join playgroups! you can find them if you google your city and "young mothers group" or something like that. I joined 2 of them, one in my town and one in the town over bc I was super lonley as I am young and all my friends work full time and are single. Its been great.
ladobruk - Wednesday, 10 December I was going to suggest meetup.com also. It was mentioned on here before and I checked it out and found a play group in my area. It is good to get out and meet other Moms and have your little one interact with other babies. We also did swim lessons and do weekly meetings at a local centre.
cj - Tuesday, 9 December hello - I know how hard it is, but now my daughter has quite a few playmates and I have new friends! we do a mommy and me group at the community center, you could do swim classes -we're starting in January and now we have extra playdates with people I've met through library and community center groups. good luck
bluebeanz - Tuesday, 9 December Try www.meetup.com. It has different sections you can go to. Try one of the parenting ones. You can join a group and meet other moms in your area. They have meetup groups all over the place! I was completely surprised they would have some in my area. But I joined a few groups and have met some moms. The whole point is to get out and meet others, so they highly encourage you to do so. People set up events and activities that you can join if you want to. For example, I went to a mom & baby movie with three other moms from the group (that I didn't know). It was fun! They also go to fun places where your kids can play. There is soooo much more too! Good luck! And honestly, don't be afraid of joining. You can chat on the message board first before you go and join a meetup. :D
kricket - Tuesday, 9 December hmmm..what about some kind of class. we do mom and baby yoga every thurs and strollercise on mon. met lots of moms and kids this way. There are also music and story classes for babies at our librairy...not sure if it is the same there but it would be something worth looking into! I see you live in Ireland! always wanted to go there!!
MommyForThe1stTime - Tuesday, 9 December Hey:) I know how hard it can be to meet moms your age and with children :) I went thro the same thing! Im not sure if you have myspace, but... I went on myspace and went into the people finder under the friends tab.. Then i searched for people who graduated around me in the near by schools.. I looked for the ones who had pictures of kids on the profile picture, then checked out their profile. if they seemed nice, i emailed them. I just said, i know this is kind of weird but im from this town and have a son who is .. months old. Not many of my friends have kids and im trying to get together a play group.. and had them email me if they were interested :).. I got TONS of emails back and we started one that meets every monday. The first one, we all brought a friend with and just the moms met and went out to eat to get to k now eachother. Just so we had a buddy and could meet in public and not privite.. you never know what kind a weirdooos are out there... lol... After that we met every week. with the kids... . sometimes every other... :) Just an idea

After hearing what you all think in regards to posting photos on the forums, we have modified the rules and ask that everyone familiarize yourself so that the site continues to remain friendly for everyone, including new members. In an effort to be respectful of all members of the site, we ask that members do not post more than ONE photo or video per person in the weekly, monthly and information forums. Your ONE picture should be small in size as well. Any large photos will be deleted. You are welcome to post as many pictures as you would like in the photo books, which were created for the purpose of sharing and viewing photos. You may also post as many blogs as you would like with photos in them. We understand that many members enjoy posting and viewing pictures on the forums, but this is not where they belong. We must keep the pictures on the boards to a minimum so that the written comments can continued to be written and read. Otherwise, the numerous amounts of large pictures squash the messages and they become missed. We ask that this modification be respected, therefore any member that continues to post numerous pictures a day will be deleted from the site. Thank you all for helping us keep the site friendly and welcoming for all members.
Dirk - Friday, 5 December Message to all: In the last 2 years you all posted 1.1 million photos to the site, and that needs a little maintenance. We are currently renaming all photos from the personal photobooks in order to speed up the site. Some, or all your photos may not show while we are working on the photobooks. You don't have to do anything. We hope to have all photos sorted in about 24 hours from now. You can upload new photos to your photobook while the computer is working on your other photos. Thanks for reading.

Laura Ward - Monday, 6 October Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com
Hi there,
I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.
We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.
If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.
You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com
