bencharlie11 - Wednesday, 10 December Thank you so much I have registered and hopefully I will find a group and some other mammys that I can meet up with.
babydane - Wednesday, 10 December I would have to say the out of all the responces from my post on the 8 month page you message was the MOST helpful. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I'm going to be looking into those sites you gave me. Natalie all I can do right now is take one day at a time, and that's what I've been doing, but it's just so much more difficult right now, because of the Holidays, BUT !!!! I am going to make it the BEST for Kayla's sake it's her 1st Christmas. I added you to myspace. Thank you for everything ~Kim
Avocat29 - Tuesday, 9 December Thanks so much! We live in Canada now so I will check out the CA site. As for the yeast, we've battled thrush three times so it could very well be that. We nurse too so it's possible we are passing it back and forth to each other. I will ask my doc to check it out though b/f I self diagnose (but I will do the sniff test). Thanks again!
coliflower - Monday, 8 December Thanks! I am so happy that he is gaining! I already keep track of all of the food he gets and have been since the end of October. I needed to to show the doctor. It makes it easier to tell when he should eat again, and notice any patterns in his day. Thank you very much for the info about the nursing. I guess he must be getting enough! :)
Mom2Dom - Monday, 8 December Ha...good to know I am not the only one! I wish he was in my room now, because he keeps waking from teething so it would be so much easier to have him next to me!
mommy-k - Monday, 8 December I am feeling better. And, I get to go out to a show next week AND go to Florida for the weekend. So, I'm excited and it will be nice. It does suck having my dad around alot because it's hard to have a normal adult parent/child relationship and he still acts like I'm a teenage sometimes and it's so freaking annoying! Anyway, things are looking up now. Thanks for your message. I can't believe how fast time is flying already. I'm sure our 8 month olds will be 9 before we know it too!
mom2boy - Monday, 8 December Thanks, it is nice to know I am not crazy. I just have this big empty space next to my bed. It use to be a bassinet/play yard there, then his crib and now nothing. I absolutely love seeing him grow and change but I feel like I don't have a little baby anymore. I feel like I have a toddler and seeing him walk around with his little push toy really make me realize how he is so much closer to being a toddler then a baby :(
Laura Ward - Sunday, 7 December Message to all: This message is not intended for any one person, but a general statement to all members of the site. After hearing what you all think in regards to posting photos on the forums, we have modified the rules and ask that everyone familiarize yourself so that the site continues to remain friendly for everyone, including new members. In an effort to be respectful of all members of the site, we ask that members do not post more than ONE photo or video per person in the weekly, monthly and information forums. Your ONE picture should be small in size as well. Any large photos will be deleted. You are welcome to post as many pictures as you would like in the photo books, which were created for the purpose of sharing and viewing photos. You may also post as many blogs as you would like with photos in them. We understand that many members enjoy posting and viewing pictures on the forums, but this is not where they belong. We must keep the pictures on the boards to a minimum so that the written comments can continued to be written and read. Otherwise, the numerous amounts of large pictures squash the messages and they become missed. We ask that this modification be respected, therefore any member that continues to post numerous pictures a day will be deleted from the site. Thank you all for helping us keep the site friendly and welcoming for all members.
Aaron and Kaylees Mommy - Saturday, 6 December Thanks he loves having his pictures taken. As soon as he sees the camera he is posing and smiling!
Dirk - Friday, 5 December Message to all: In the last 2 years you all posted 1.1 million photos to the site, and that needs a little maintenance. We are currently renaming all photos from the personal photobooks in order to speed up the site. Some, or all your photos may not show while we are working on the photobooks. You don't have to do anything. We hope to have all photos sorted in about 24 hours from now. You can upload new photos to your photobook while the computer is working on your other photos. Thanks for reading.
Avocat29 - Tuesday, 2 December Congrats! I'm so happy this is working for you!!! We've had some issues lately b/c Noelle was sick so everything kind of went out the window since she wanted to nurse around the clock and I of course let her, but we are getting there. The other day she slept 11 hours in a row...then napped for 2.5 hours in the morning and one in the afternoon. Sleep begets more sleep so the more Claire sleeps, the more she will nap! Yay! Good for you for doing this and sticking with it!
momoffive - Sunday, 30 November Hows the crying it out going? We started with Sam too (you inspired me) We put in a good movie and do our best to ignore it. He's still waking up many times after he cries to sleep though. He's doing well for naps, he'll only cry about 5 min then goes to sleep but at night he wakes up and won't go back to sleep. I thought maybe I was going in to soon but it's been 20 min now since he woke up and he's not going back to sleep. I don't know if I should go in or keep letting him cry it out. He's had teething tablets and was happy today so I'm pretty sure he's not sick or anything. Any tips???
I breast fed full time up until 2 weeks ago. Tommy was 7 months when I started to wean him off. Tommy would breast feed when he got up in the morn which is between 8 and 9 am. Then I would feed him cereal about 30 minutes after that. Then he would breast feed again about 12-12:30pm or so. Then he would get a little snack like a Mum Mum and a veggie or fruit. He would breast feed again at around 4 or 5 pm. I would feed him dinner around 6:30-7 pm and that would be a veggie and a fruit. He usually would eat a Mum Mum too. I would breast feed him again at about 8 or 8:30 pm and then he would sleep from about 9-9:30 pm until the next morning. Occasionally but very rarely, he got up at 4am or so and I would just pat him back to sleep with out feeding him. So, I breast fed him 4 times a day.
HOPE THIS HELPS'ya! TAKE CARE
heatherography - Friday, 28 November sorry it took so long to reply, i hadn't been on in awhile. everything else with him is up to speed. he grabs things if you put them out of reach, and can hold objects and pass them back and forth. he can definately roll both ways. it's just the sitting. his doctor said his weight is holding him back.. he's not a big fat baby.. but he does weigh 21 lbs already. so i'm hoping it's just his weight like they said. he can sit up for a few moments but then falls to one side.. so he's getting there. thanks for your comment!
momoffive - Wednesday, 26 November Wow, I had the same night that you did! Then mayasmom posted she got like 11 hours strait GRRR (lol). Have you tried the highlands teething tablets? They really do work wonders for teething. I give 3 tablets for the first dose then 2 every couple of hours and they seem to calm him down within about 30 min.
sgtoodles - Sunday, 23 November Thanks for your ideas! those are both good ideas that i hadnt thought of.
